    I also really liked the part where your thoughts are flying around your head. (When you lied in bed)And I guess we all have thoughts like that from time to time. And I also think to just bulldoze or ignore these thoughts or parts of us by spiritual bypassing them will not make us whole again but rather enhance our inner splitting in more and more suppressed fragments. Wich probably will result in physical illnesses. So I like you encouraging others to be present with cause we are the most important people in our life and we are so worth, SO WORTH! of taking care of ourselves and listen to our inner reality!

    A brilliant visionary had the concepts. She benefited because a beautiful actress brought the message to life. A director made sure that the camera captured the essence. Finally, an artistic editor combined the ingredients with her personal style and rhythm so that we, the audience, could be refreshed, informed, and inspired. Those four amazing collaborators are bundled together in you, Nastja. You were born to share the treasures that pour out of your heart.

    I listened to a podcast the other day with a Plum Village Monk & he mentioned that Thich Nhat Hanh had said that actually he didn't recommend sitting with overwhelming feelings but instead to go for a walk or do something else...and that sitting with overwhelm risks reinforcing the unhelpful stories or generating more of them (referred to as the second arrow). It was the first time I can recall hearing this acknowledged. I will find the name of the podcast episode if you are interested.
    Also very much relate to the compulsive distraction & mental running away at the moment. Starting with re-establishing a morning routine is a good idea - I would like to do the same.
    Wonderful singing

    • @EmbraceYourselfBaby
      @EmbraceYourselfBaby  Месяц назад +2

      I‘m very interested! And it reaffirms my intuition. Taking action like a walk is definitely is good when feelings/thoughts are too overwhelming. And then there are things like somatic experiencing and trauma informed healing methods that can really make a difference (when we’ve gone through trauma). I just feel this topic is often overlooked and downplayed in the spiritual scene, and in my opinion can actually be quite dangerous to think that meditation mindfulness of the cure for everything. For me they are fundamental for my healing process, but certain things just need additional approaches imo.

    • @CeeWilson-vf9kj
      @CeeWilson-vf9kj Месяц назад

      @EmbraceYourselfBaby the podcast is called "the way out is in" and the episode is number 73 being with difficult feelings
      Completely agree with your thoughts on the limitations and risks of mindfulness, especially with trauma and certain mental health diagnoses. I personally stopped doing any mindfulness for a while as it was incredibly activating. I have now reintroduced body scans but I'm not doing the more traditional vipassana stuff as that is still activating for me

    • @EmbraceYourselfBaby
      @EmbraceYourselfBaby  Месяц назад +1

      @@CeeWilson-vf9kj that‘s a great name for a podcast! Thanks you so much for the recommendation! I will definitely listen to it. It’s interesting what you said about mindfulness being activating. I will give this some more thought 💭 (mindful thought of course)… ❤️😊

    • @CeeWilson-vf9kj
      @CeeWilson-vf9kj Месяц назад

      @EmbraceYourselfBaby oh by activating I meant triggering (trauma/stress responses), in case that wasn't clear!
      If you do listen to the podcast (although absolutely no pressure to!), I'd love to hear your thoughts 😊

    • @EmbraceYourselfBaby
      @EmbraceYourselfBaby  Месяц назад

      @@CeeWilson-vf9kj yeah that makes very much sense.. and it’s actually quite dangerous I think. I‘ve heard stories from people that went to certain retreats, with self taught “gurus/coaches” and got triggered / re-traumatized. I think this topic is so underestimated. also things like silent retreats / vipassana can be quite dangerous for people with unresolved trauma, I believe.
      So it’s all a question of balance in my opinion. Thank you so much for your input Cee ❤️ (may I call you that? :)

    So much of what you have said resonated, as you know Nastja, I am a great advocate of meditation & mindfulness. I find this easy to do when my life is great, but definately not easy to do when my thoughts are all over the place and I have no space to put them to one side or in a box to thus enable me to practice those things that I know will ultimately help me. It's something I struggle with most days if I'm honest. I think the change to your morning routine is a positive one. I used to turn on TV when I woke, I no longer do this. The news always breaks my heart and sets the tone for my day if I do that. Acknowledging your thoughts can be a good thing, sitting with them and imagine them floating by, off to some other realm where they won't bother you. I dunno, I do try and always remind my self 'This too shall pass'. Healing is a deeply painful process, it leaves us vulnerable but ultimately, we do gain strength from it. It may not seem it at the time, but we do. Thank you for just being 'you'. I helps others like me just to be 'me'. ❤🙏. P.S. Love to hear you sing and play guitar so wondefully. Please don't ever stop eh!.

    • @EmbraceYourselfBaby
      @EmbraceYourselfBaby  Месяц назад +1

      @@jasonbroadcastsinabuckethat this too shall pass is a good mantra Jason. I think it is important to learn that we are not our thoughts. Sometimes we just identify too strongly with them and then it’s good to remind ourselves that they are like clouds in the sky.
      I think it’s something we can definitely practice. But in cases of trauma, I just don’t think that it is enough to meditate and practice mindfulness. I just wanted to make that point because I feel it’s often played down the spiritual scene. And thank you again for your kind words of encouragement and for being you ❤️ hugs 🫂 Nastja

    Yes, what you described is what he went through personally. Despite the pain 💔of these feelings, I found great solace💕 in your description of them. I even thought I was lucky 🤩 to experience these kinds of feelings. But there is a voice🧚 inside me that says they are just symptoms of transformation🐛 and moving to a better state🦋. I don't know if that's true. I also don't know that what I fear will happen in the future is actually true. Only God knows. But some smart people describe the future as a space of possibilities🎲. Therefore, it would be wise to choose happy possibilities🌈, so that the future will be like that. This is what other intelligent people call God's call within us. We just believe that the coming will be better. This call is what distinguishes any living being from another without life. It is the cause of the breath in the chest, growth in cells, strength of movement, and healing of wounds, and it is the pulse in the heart. 💋 to the toe. I hope it recovers. Be careful next time and don't hurt it. By the way, your voice is beautiful, like everything about you. It would be fun to share healing methods with us. Have a blessed trip❤🙏🌿.

One of my best friends is studying it right now and we talk a lot about it… I also love the ego state theory, parts work in general but also the concept of shadow work by Carl Jung. All of those approaches helped me gain a deeper understanding of “self”. It also helped me to realize that my trauma didn’t break me into pieces but that there are certain parts that were born out of powerlessness / a lack of safety and that are trying to protect me. It all helps me to be more compassionate with myself, which is very healing 🌱
