What would a person who buys this do with the car? Sort of like a beautiful woman who looks good on your arm but can't sew, wash laundry or cook you food.

I've had two rusted out 280ZXs and loved them despite being able to put your foot on the ground while sitting in the passenger seat with one of them. If I could afford one in good shape, I'd be tempted...but I need a bit more room these days. If I could have gotten the sheet metal replaced, especially underneath, I'd still be driving one. I did get a rusted-out 300Z later, but it was rusty in unsafe ways, too. Illinois is hell for such cars, but I do have a RX-7 in the driveway, waiting for someone to save it. Someone tried hotwiring it last year, but the fools didn't understand the battery had been dead for years, and the gas had been sitting in there for even longer. No chance of hotwiring that. They ran like frightened children when I stepped outside.....

Beautiful. I had a cherry 1979 ZX, a bit souped up though. Lots of fun for years. I had been clocked at 140 mph but that was fast back then. Almost turbo charging got me and then I passed on Nitros because even though I only had less than 100K, the youngsters were starting to get really crazy. I respect that, I was there. In the market for another ZX. What are the price ranges for Z's like this '83 ? Preforably a TURBO, stock. Will consider Z's like this stock '83. What has been your best offer ?

I have one for sale, Reno. Needs work. All electric works beautifully. Its not all pretty, but very solid. I think the fuel injectors need to be cleaned. Cheerio.

lol. One of the slowest cars ever made. My stepfather had one. He crashed it by trying to hook a left into traffic, he misjudged and the engine didn’t have enough power to move out of the way in time. Trying to merge on a grade was painful as well. The car needed 250, 250 like what the gm atlas engine 3.7 in-line 5 put out. THAT would be a sick car.

Yes, it was slow. I had a '79 way back in the day and I was always disappointed by it's performance. It was however, beautiful.
