Winter ice sailing, convertible skate-boats. Old and new Dutch Ice Boats on a frozen sea.

In summer they sail on the lakes but in winter they convert their boats into ice-sailers.
Last year we had a short period of cold weather. The Ice sailors on the shallow 'Gouwzee' grab their chance to sail on the Ice. With modern skating boats and with some very old ones. It was worth the cold feet.
Tip for walking and filming on ice; moonboots or wooden shoes is the best insulated footwear to keep your feet warm.
