AWWW a happy ending!!! Honestly, I was never a fan of Ben/Maggie, i thought this dynamic worked much better with Karen but its the direction the show went in and I guess its natural for a kid to be jealous of his big brother and his happiness. This vid made it look like the romance went on for much longer than I realised! All those longing states and quick glances at each other lol. It made me feel for Ben. All that angst and the divide between brothers. I have to say I love how you ended the vid with the scenes of Maggie and Hal ending up together and Hal and Ben making up. They both chose Hal in the end! So cute!
That was the goal towards the end was to wrap up the drama between them :). I just saw an old interview with Connor Jessup saying he had wished for the love triangle to end for S5 lol. I found it interesting/entertaining though :). I purposely manipulated a lot in this video to make it seem that Ben had feelings for Maggie a lot longer than it was plus to add in more angst. If I didn't do that then the video would have been more like 1 minute long lol. I came up with this video idea after re-watching the scene with Ben telling Maggie "...But I love You." and it was a heartbreaking scene which made me feel so bad for Ben. I kind of wanted to replicate that feeling a bit longer into this video going off of that scene. Karen is actually the next character I'm working on for a new vid coming soon!
As someone who has shipped Ben/Maggie since season 2 and loves these characters (especially Ben), I am thrilled that people are still making fanvids for ‘Falling Skies.’ You did phenomenal work on this, it was beautiful. Hope you will create more videos for this fandom. Whether it’s for specific characters (like Ben), specific pairings (like Bengie) or just a general tribute video, any and all would be welcome and appreciated. Hope you are doing well and will be inundated with much inspiration.
Aww, thank you so much! I am releasing new falling skies videos this saturday, Nov 30 and saturday Dec 7. Both will have Ben in them :). He's my favorite character as well. I made a video on him about 6+ years ago called "Howl". It's posted on my channel if you haven't seen it :).
I almost fell off my bed from doing a happy wiggle when I read you have more videos that will soon be posted. I eagerly await and look forward to them. And I have definitely seen the “Howl” video. I remember when you posted it and I would watch repeatedly. I still watch it quite often and even made sure to download it so I can watch it when my internet is down. I love it.❤️❤️❤️
