I did a little trick. In the chorus, the second chord 0-2-5-0, you also can do 0-2-X-0. The sound will be a liiiiiiiittle more open but it will be 99% identical.
Too many. LOL think I recorded 7/8 different guitars doing different things in this video. Metallica likes to fill the empty spaces with more subtle guitar stuff and I like finding them all and showing them in my videos.
Amazing Job man. I think the only thing that anyone could do better than this is playing the clean riff on a B-Bender Tele, but other than that...This is perfect!
@@oyc7946 Even that one was wrong, since the chorus was played like this: A-0 D-2 G-2 B-3/1/0 I changed it after seeing james it play live It does sound kinda weird, but when you play it, it just sounds on point
I just learned this song and I can't figure why everyone feels like its impossible to make those bends at the 3rd fret, I do it on acoustic as well ( i know minds blown right? 🤯) wth is a bender anyway? Are we referring to a tremolo bar? Honestly the most difficult part of this song for me was the chorus riff it was just awkward the order of the inverted chords. Any way good job covering the song bro. I've found the best tabs at Songster for those of you looking for tabs.
@@TheHelix123 Unfortunately my phone is busted but just search Songster Unforgiven 2. There is one that has James part transcribed and one with Kurt, they are labeled so and together you can get all the guitar parts and they are accurate.
@@TheHelix123 Well one of the main rhythm parts is listed on Kirk's but no Jame's I think it's two different riffs both of them with distortion and honestly that lead is a good one to start with because it's just a bluesy relatively simple deal, you would be surprised. Goodluck bro, kill it!!🤘
What type of strings do you have to be bending them so easily? If anyone can help I’d appreciate it:) Ps for not having a b bender bro hats off to you! Amazing guitar play brother!
Nice job. Do you happen to have tabs? I came up with something close but it looks like you play slightly different as in I slide from B (third fret) to 5th then hammer on. I can’t get the bends right though
phantumgrey I don't have tabs at all. Figuring out those bends and getting them as close as possible to the right pitch was a nightmare to do, especially considering that James play variations of them throughout the song. . But if you use lighter gauge strings, like 9's, those bends become very easy. Alternatively, the slide from 3 to 5 will work just fine. You're just limited playing without the variations though.
If Metallica are playing at a concert and ask an audience member to come on stage to play guitar, only Franscois is worthy. Imagine playing this whole song without using a B bender. Ouch.

How the heck James playing these while singing? Fudge man, he's really good rhythm guitar player.
best in metal 🤟🏼. although this song is fairy easy to play. there are parts that are difficult but with a little practice it’s easy to master

well man, james is not good.he is God of rhythm guitar..
Well if you never play it live you don’t have to sing while playing
This one is easy...bleeding me, thats hell of focus singing while playing that riff
I really like 2:41 to 3:30 it has these melodic dark vibes and get a little warmer and boom hits with that powerful riff.

For not having B-bender guitar you did amazing my guy, keep it up
Out of the years I’ve been watching, I still can’t believe there aren’t way more subs. This Channel has solid guitar videos
Bro your B string bends gave me an eargasm
That third verse is amazing. One of Metallica’s best musical moments, ever. Even James agrees ;)
Which part ? What time does it start?
