    I love it because it’s NOT what everyone else has. I’m too small to pull off a panerai but I love that you didn’t get “bullied” into going GS because it was yours. Also the 5 dollar calendar watch is just dope as f!

      Thank you! Definitely have to go with your own heart and the Panerai connected with me more even though the GS would have probably got me more views on here. Glad you like it! Was a very lucky find

    I see a lot of similarity to my own collection. You have a few signature pieces in the watch roll. The top row of the box is a good variety of wearable pieces from quality brands and the bottom row has some fun watches that keep life interesting. I like that you have one watch from each company and that there are a variety of styles and colours. All things considered, I think I give your collection a solid 6/10 because it's well planned but there's still plenty of room to grow.

    • @WatchUnwind
      @WatchUnwind  Год назад +1

      I’m glad you picked up on that your the first one to comment on just having one watch per brand. I am only going to get to experience so many watches in my life so I wanted to make sure I get to experience as many brands as I can so I limited myself to one watch per brand. I may brake this rule in the future but till now it has held strong

    interesting collection. I’ve seen that you are moving forwards with a heavy prune, but at this stage the standouts to me are the OP41 Green, the Alpinist 017 (i have both), the Seamaster - i like that colour despite it getting panned as i like the blue hands. i really love Panerai, but i don’t love the slab-sided models. there are options with a nicer case shape, that enable the size to wear more nicely imv, and also an essential element to Panerai are the sandwich dials for me.

      Thanks for checking out the channel. I love my OP 41 that one will be a keeper for life, I’ll also keep my alpinist as that’s the watch I got married in. I have decided I’m going to try to keep my Panerai because all my lower priced watches sold well. The omega as cool as it is I will probably let go to fund this latest purchase. I do love the colors as well it’s a very nautical feeling watch. I’ll debut my new watch soon but I’ll give a hit, what is the most popular coffee company in America

    I view every collection as a warning sign. You see, it was only about a year ago. I spent a little more than I was comfortable with, at the time, to buy one great watch; built to last a lifetime. It would save me money in the long run as I was never going to need to buy another watch again.
    Then I bought another watch. It was used, and inexpensive, and I really, really, wanted it. Now the first watch, that was bought for everyday wear was becoming a neglected safe queen. You know the cure for that right?
    Yep, buy another watch, that costs 4 times as mutch as the first one.
    And 3 watches was so right, the perfect number. BUT in a few months, impulsively, 3 became 4.
    Now 6 just seems inevitable. When will it end? 12 a bakers dozen? Am I going to be a watch box guy?
    Also I am entirely opposed to the idea of selling any of my watches, EVER.
    So I was trying on Plant Oceans the other day, but I think I like the Santos better and it's only a little bit more. Of course while leaving Cartier with all my money still. I happened to notice Vacheron Constantin was putting a boutique in the mall. Opening Soon it says...can you give yourself an intervention?

      You are 100% right with this one. It’s a slippery slope. That’s why I although I never sold up to this point I had to let one go and will let a few go before I get any more I couldn’t in good conscience spend more money on watches when I was already at 13 I think I will sell a few off and add a grand seiko, iwc, or another Rolex if god so finds me a chosen one

    The OP41 in green is a great find of course, and I don't want to detract from your ownership experience, but these OPs can stand some criticism too: Does yours "levitate" off your wrist, with the bubble back case essentially pushing it up, while the bracelet pulls it back down? That's kinda odd for a watch to not lie flush. The other design issue that I find are those enormous blocky indices. They're like animal food troughs, rectangular and without nuance. When light reflects off them, they domineer the dial. I think of the 2020/21 OP design as a bit crass.
    So... I want to draw your attention to Norqain Adventure Neverest, particularly the 40mm no-date ones. It has comparable specs and sizing, with a dial width that is also 32mm in diameter. But its dial design does what Rolex doesn't do, which is to put some style and balance into it. And yet it is also a sports watch. Classy but sporty, and not beholden to old-fashion (arguably out-of-date) design ideas.

    • @WatchUnwind
      @WatchUnwind  Год назад +1

      I don’t have that issue. I would actually say the OP41 is my most comfortable watch. I think Rolex has it down when it comes to ergonomics. I often tel people my omega is higher quality in the looks department by the OP feels higher quality on wrist. To me it’s just perfect. I am familiar with that watch but have never gotten the chance to check out out in person. I particularly like their full lime dial Neverest night sight! I have heard good things about this company in general
