- If you like watching someone detail a filthy, broken camera they bought on Facebook Marketplace (from a guy who bought an abandoned storage unit and wanted to sell the contents of that unit) for $20, then you're in the right place.
This camera is of course filthy, but it powers on, takes pictures, and it winds and rewinds film no problem. What are its issues?
1. Rough shape cosmetically (lots of scratches & scuffs)
2. Flash doesn't work
3. Plastic window on the rear film door is missing
What needs to happen?
1. Thorough cleaning & detailing
2. Swap the back film door on the parts camera to the "new" camera
3. Swap the front clamshell door from the parts camera to the "new" camera
I bought a parts camera on eBay for $40 so I could use its film door, and I also took its front sliding clamshell door and swapped it over to my camera.
Also... I used the Blackmagic Camera app on my iPhone 13 Pro Max to film the repair work and at some point during the long filming session the camera stopped recording and the rest of the process was lost. My apologies.

Thanks, such great video. Gonna use it as a guide for my camera cleaning.
Also I've noticied that you lost a small metal ball at 49:15 (with your brush) which can cause a less smooth lens opening afaik
Nice catch! I did recover it and put it back where it belonged after I finished recording.
Thats a good price for the camera
The guy selling it didn’t know what he had! But it was in very rough shape. Kinda bummed the flash doesn’t work, but fortunately I rarely use flash in my photographs. Thanks for watching!
