I love this style of video. It's kind of sad to say this but I find myself living vicariously through you. You basically have the lifestyle I wish I could have one day.

You might be able to live this lifestyle if you are able to find a cheap bit of land on a smaller scale and remote and then learn all the systems you need to live off the land? Richard's place is "Small Farm Scale - Regenerative Agriculture" which means it was set up as a small business. He's now running it as a homestead but obviously it's still at an impressive scale. You could run a homestead on a much smaller scale than this and set it up much cheaper too... Good luck with your dream, and work on it.

Happy birthday Richard! I've been watching since 2017 and have loved seeing the progress of your farm and seeing your kiddos growing up. Grace is already such a strong independent lovely young woman and Ragnar is just as curious and intuitive as you! You must be very proud. :) cheers from Wisconsin USA

Happy birthday Richard. The food looked very delicious. What an action filled video you gave us this time. It's a lovely new development with the new families and lots of kids. Farming needs the interest of the younger generations not only the generation that is ready right now. The forest yurts look great. How are you going to provide drinking water in that area? Are you going to filter the stream water with charcoal? Who is making use of the sheep wool? It would be nice to see what's made. Are you using the nifty industrial kitchen wagon?

I don't feel so bad about my shearing now. Prefer blade shearing, more relaxed and less noisy for the sheep.
