- I believe Terraria players often speed run the game and never take their time on their worlds. I want to change that. So, over the course of a year I will be playing on this world on the Terraria Clamity mod with each stage of progression being blocked until the start of a new month. Listed below are the progression locks I'll be facing on this journey and come next December we'll finally defeat the final boss!

I believe Terraria players often speed run the game and never take their time on their worlds. I want to change that. So, over the course of a year I will be playing on this world with each stage of progression being blocked until the start of a new month. I'm doing this so I can seriously take my time and each stage of terraria calamity mod's progression and see what it has to offer. So for the month of june I'm only allowed to defeat skeletron prime, calamitas clone, and plantera. Otherwise, I can make no other form of progression. This is what happened.

Watching this series and the original has been a treat, even if I only just started watching at the beginning of this month. This series is actually partly what inspired me to try and do a bit more with making nice looking buildings in my own worlds, and I'd say I've been doing a good job so far.
If I could make a request for a series to do after this one is up, or even parallel to this, there's a RUclipsr named Fury Forged who used to do a *SUPER* modded series with damn near every big content mod out there and he planned to spend literal years on the world doing whatever he could and making every single part of the world a build. Unfortunately he no longer plans on doing Terraria content so his series has been defunct for a couple years, and I haven't seen anyone else do something like that, so it would be awesome if someone like you could take up the mantle. Though I'm aware something like that is a huge ask, but it's something I want to throw out there since I miss watching those videos and would love watching someone else do something similar.
36:00 For the waterfall something you could do is pump from the bottom to a pump below the higher water pool. Paint the upper pump with echo coating. Water will never leave the top so it can't overflow. Water that leaves the bottom is instantly returned.
Life got busy and I haven't kept up the last few months, Throarbin. I consider myself extremely average, so if I'm back, hopefully that means many more people are back and watching your vids! Keep it up! Don't touch the clouds!!

This video timing could not have been better lmao. I am also doing a master revengeance run, and I'm at the same point in progression that you are. When I saw the third mech fight for the first time I was actually so confused I thought it was a bug with tmodloader 😭. Also, I would have definitely recommended the kelvin catalyst as it has insane damage, especially since it has infinite pierce and spawns projectiles with every hit. amazing video as always

I love seeing the attempt at Boss Rush every month to sort of show your progress. Sure, it still takes forever to kill King Slime, but you did manage to do it this time! Maybe once you beat Moon Lord, you'll be able to kill the Boss Rush Desert Scourge too lol

An idea for another series once this one is over is: One Year, One World developing specific, super elaborate contraptions to kill each boss in the most optimal way, not talking about glitch-cheesing but trying to use boss a.i. and game mechanics to your favor to basically be the level 20 Barbarian for the Dungeon Soup's shorts, this over-prepared dude ready to make a poor boss have one hell of a bad time and enjoy it thoroughly.
If there is something like a delay plate for the logic board you could make the lights turn on at different times.. like "[if day[turn off A],[delay X min [turn off B]], delay Y min [tunr off C] else [turn on B], delay X min [turn on C], delay Y min [turn on A]]" to give it a randomized effect.. i think it would look quite nice.

I'm not sure if anyone mentioned it in the live streams, but Skeletron Prime is a reference to Oblivion (to an extent) in the t-confg version of the Exxo Avalon mod back in Terraria 1.2 that Blah (I think, not sure how big of a dev team was) made. Really loved that they brought it back in Master Rev+

you could also use the big bulbs in the premade arena to summon plantera
Have you ever thought about making a small "home" in or out the arena, then using a magic mirror to teleport further distances for less damage than RoD. Gives some time for recovery but at the cost of some speed.
For the next few bosses I recommend melee summoner or ranger and use weapons crafted from living shards and use hallow armour for the dodge and good overall stats or you can use the reaver armour for its good stats and buffs for all classes craft weapons and items like the tears of the heavens the plantation staff the terra blade the rainbow rod the wildfire bloom the vernal bolter and the viral sprout

I play infernum mainly (with mods to make it easier), so I forgot how underwhelming great sand shark is in regular calamity since it is SO cool in infernum
This series is better than anything on netflix. I love it
Also if you need to change the difficulty, I think the Mutant NPC (from Fargo's Mutant) sells an item that does just that.

17:16 yeah, this was my thought process during my playthrough in this update, I'm just not a fan of most the extreme changes they made to bosses, like the mechs and golem (have fun with that), like, it would take me forever to beat vanilla bosses bosses be then modded boss would only take a couple of tries
Also, while I am a ranged player, I wouldn't be surprised if they chanced how spectral armor works
That’s how I got to know the game… on mobile we had to wait years for the game to get an update. So I had more then enough time to find everything until eventually I had to make another world cause mine was way to small
I haven't seen anyone answer this but at 21:28 you question numbers on your screen. This is opened with f10, and it shows respectively frame rate (locked at 60 unless frame skip is off i think), block updates (unimportant unless its like 100000), and quality (low being 0% and high being 100%).

Master revengeance is the type of gamemode where overgearing is just the minimum requirement.

I didn't think there was any difference between master and expert start. I thought revengeance mode would just even the difficulty to that since it wasn't mentioned in the wiki. Well, im definitely not restarting now that im at skeletron prime

In my pure summoner playthrough in vinnilah I had gotten to a point that I could do empress of light (night) hitless w only 1 summon slot no whip and spooky armor (w sentries) and it still took me 7 times Todo her w full items and summons daytime. When u try for hitless seriously it's hella stressful and u gonna fail lol.

Yeah, I've been playing Master Mode Revengeance too and yes, it's hell. Calamity also changed it so you don't take contact damage from bosses when they aren't attacking you.
Honestly, some vanilla bosses are WAY more unfair than the regular Calamity Bosses. 💀I died to Golem more times than Skeletron Prime and DoG, that fight has this stupid projectile spam, is awful.
You're gonna need a HUGE arena for later bosses, and Golem just put a long platform in the middle, and a smaller platform at the roof center. Just move from one side to another.
