That exploded capacitor was replaced firstly with lower working voltage for show 😂😂
Something like that. He turned it on before he dismantled it and it didn't blow then. Perhaps drawing attention to the use of safety glasses but most likely for clickbait. I hate youtube videos with no talking. FFS.
Another fake video, where the subject disassembles and assembles a complex device without having a schematic, using an inappropriate soldering iron, pretending to measure components with a multimeter*
I wouldn't say that. He has half a clue but what a waste of time and a big no no washing that stuff in soapy water. He could have explained what caused the explosion. I'm still not sure if cap was bad PSU was bad and blew cap or was it the rectifier exploding? Anyway. Powered mixers? lol
He turned it on before he dismantled it and it didn't blow then. deffo clickbait.
@@izzzzzz6 Right? Washing with body shampoo etc? LOL!!!
Poor quality renovation, I'd call it less. I list some errors that can be seen in the video:
- I never turn on the device before renovation.
- I don't soak the potentiometers in aqueous liquid.
- I take care not to melt the foil strips, when soldering.
- I clean the metal contact surfaces of the connectors.
- If something doesn't work properly (e.g. LED, potentiometer), I will repair or replace it.
- I carefully prepare the surface before painting.
Talk please and enable subtitles. You turned it on before he dismantled it and it didn't blow then so why the explosion? clickbait.
Thumbs up I just lost all my knobs on the floor.
Destroy it further more before restoring😂😂😂
Yes, It's halfway clean now, but I definately miss the "World Class Restoration Skills". To make such a claim, you have to have at least professional equipment like an ultrasonic bath, a professional desoldering station, a semiconductor checker and so on and so on. And before anyone comes around with "but the handcrafting skills... equipment has nothing to do with skill... yada yada yada..": If you do professional restorations, you have to accomplish tasks in a timely manner and you make money out of it. And money buys equipment, you know? And good equipment saves time, you know? Furthermore, some major mistakes were made like smearing flux all over PCBs instead of removing it, so the flux can corrode the whole board now. Or while putting back the mosfets into the board some traces/pads were lifted off because you were too lazy to clean up the wires and/or the pads on the PCB properly. Then the use of soapy water for cleaning, no rinse, no proper drying. The setup with the exploding cap. Measuring "things" with a multimeter with a more or less dead battery. Knowing the schematic without ever looking at one. The "magic" of beginning with an 8 channel device and getting a 12 channel device out of it? Really? Thats not professional or world class, thats pure amateurism.
The video shows them disassembling and making repairs on the EMX230 model with 8 channels, when they finish the repairs and assembly, they show the EMX 3500 model with 12 channels. FAKE .
😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄
They repair the 8 channel at 35 minutes then go and fix the larger one.
obviously you don't pay attention
It's fake !
@@jacimaroliveira6849They fixed 3 mixers on one video🤦♂️, did you even watch the whole video? Maybe LOOK before making assumptions
Why waste time on this one? Compact analog mixers are plentiful & cheap. This is a piece of junk.
Was soll die Showeinlage?
What an expertise. Creating firecrackers from a dirty mixer...
World class ?????????
You could also replace the fuse holders, they look terrible.
I won't talk about whether it's fake or not fake. Because there are no genuine parts anymore and the manufacturer's repair service has ended.
But I miss this mixing console with built-in amplifier. It's about 40 years old.
I'm 60 years old. I'm a Japanese electronics engineer. When I was a university student, this one broke the day before the school festival, and I hurriedly disassembled it and repaired it.
This was not something that was used professionally in Japan. It was used mostly for small events in high schools. However, noise regulations have become stricter in Japan today, and these devices can hardly be used outdoors. All mixing consoles for real professional use are made to order, and the circuit design and overall design are completely different. And even if they break down, they are not exported outside of Japan, but are all recycled in Japan.
But there are almost no Japan domestically produced electronic devices in Japan anymore. They are made in China. That's why Japanese electronic engineers like me are no longer needed, and the electronics departments of Japanese universities now only teach computer programming. Young Japanese electronic engineers today can't even use a soldering iron properly.
I also think that my life has failed.
At that time, it was as difficult to get into as engineering, so I should have gone on to pharmacy and become a pharmacist. Japan is now overflowing with elderly people, and there is an absolute shortage of medical personnel.
But Japan's livelihood security system, which is the most complete in the world, is reaching its limits. This is because 30% of the national budget is spent on medical care for the elderly, which does not lead to production.
In Japan, where all industries are in decline, jobs other than medical workers, politicians, and government officials are hard labor with low wages, and the number of people committing suicide due to hardship is increasing.
Well, there's no way Japan can compete with China, which has abundant natural resources, so it can't be helped.I am not talking bad about China and Chinese people. Everyone in the world wants cheaper and higher performance industrial products. Japan without natural resources is a country that should not be an industrial country in the first place.
whats with that backround noise ?
Guys name: El Capacitor 😂
However, I would have put a shrink tube for soldering the wire if the rest was done so nicely, so the interior aesthetics deteriorates
As far as I know, DT Restoration is based in the US and the voltage there is 110V. This Yamaha runs on 220V. Was this extension cord connected to a transformer?
This disgusting varnish on every finish is not good
Hadir nyimak sobatku teryata sangat membantu sekali tentang tutorial nya mantap sekali
O tecnico valioso um genio, gostei muita eficiencia parabens,Limeira SP Brasil
Liars...
The opening device and closings are not the same fake electronics videos
Sorry fake
lol EMX2300, good little band room desk. Tended to have quite the noise floor but most Yamaha desks did... even the digital ones, and especially the LS9 at the top of each preamp step.
Kínai memtalítás takonyágyúval mindent is oda ragasztani
51:40 What is this liquid? Is it simply water?
Fea pintura
👍⭐🏆⭐🌟👀🌟👍perfect I love you all, talented, beautiful, super professionals, I can learn a lot, thank you, dear engineers
Oh no. Not the water wash again....................... I hope you have a week in a dehumidifier oven after that!
He washed the Mixer plates so much at the beginning that at the end of the video the Mixer shrank
for pcb claning what chemical do u use?
Smells good for sure
Good humor at best
Felicidades muy interesante y educativo
When I first saw it, that board reminded me of the old Teac 5A four channel mixer that I recorded my first artist with back in 1979. Man, I loved that little board.
japan kudosXD
Nice work. It is lucky the board does not have a corrosion.
Lokasi ngdibos
Waw 😮
genius man booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!
Powered mixer
Can u restore my Akai MPC 3000..
Trabalho muito porco
Safety first 6s😊
Top esses genius!
Looks like fun. Thanks for the post.

Wow 😂
Good job. Electronics is my favorite job. I am a repairman, thank you for sharing
👍👍👍👍👍👋
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Wow
The explosion was a setup. It was just to hook people to the video. There was extra wires during the explosion, and nond before and after. So are the fixes real or thay just fake it?
World class? This person should not do these type of things, he has very little idea of what could be the consequences of power on equipment with a probably short circuited power supply. I couldn’t believe my eyes
Super sir
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Good job😊
Epic. Washing El Capacitors, without removing :) Restoration, yesss...
Ok
Îmi place foarte mult.
