The World Cup is a fantastic event to support, don't get me wrong but there are so many obstacles working against the US flyers. As Joe says in the video they select differently then we do for the most part on top of the other obstacles, so there can be improvements made that's for sure. But with participation dropping off something fierce here in the US I think some serious changes to help with participation needs to happen to rebuild it. As Joe states above all else in this video, No predators, better weather conditions this time of year, and flying breeders over and over in many places. it's good to see what Joe saw however and what his opinions were of what he say.
average guy is breeds 100 birds and looses 40+ and not having the advantage being able to fly birds with out the risk of a predator is the reason, No predators we continue to be competitive Flying birds longer and evaluating them proper is HUGE, 6 years flying or reflying also HUGE! Other countries don't work as many hours either, more like part time to here. There's no advantage to us flying in the WC any longer, the National Fly should be our focus here.
The World Cup rules were compiled in the US and now that everyone kicks your asses on your own terms you want to withdraw because you loose? Peregrines and jobs occur all over the World (you probably havent ever been outside the US so how do you know we dont work as much?) I suggest you get over your excuses and start using your head. An old Springbok Captain once said in a heavy accent: "Looks at the scoreboard". That all there is to say my friend, Look at the score charts!
