Many years ago my father was dying from cancer in hospital and Christmas was approaching. He wanted to buy my mum a brooch for Christmas because that is what he had bought for her the first Christmas They were together. I went into town on his behalf to a jewellers, and explained the situation to them and they let me leave that shop with three brooches all unpaid for so that he could choose which one he wanted to give her. I have never forgotten and will never forget the kindness and compassion of the jeweller which enabled dad to truly choose the last present he would ever give to mum. Needless to say it was very bitter sweet for mum

The tears in the owners eyes. How we just break down when we are face to face with pure love. It’s a beautiful thing. And it’s immediately accepted and shared with those around him. The negativity in the world wants us to feel scared of each other. Fear that we need more for ourselves.
