This is such a great themed transitional coaster for kids and adults who aren’t sure about riding bigger coasters. And the cute live penguins awards adds to the charm. Win-win!!
SeaWorld has so many coasters now. The last time I was there Penguin Encounter was the newest thing, and now a penguin themed coaster, wow. Love it!! Thanks Jackie and Sam for the awesome ride along ❤
This is perfect for me ! I don’t want to go upside down and go 150 miles an hour .. I want this type of coaster .. it reminds me of test track or slinky dog ..
Remember that recent day at Magic Kingdom when it was so hot? Now you are so cold and freezing. LOL You go to extremes. 🙂 When you were on the coaster, I kept staring at that sky and those clouds--so breathtaking! The penguins were cute but they sure are noisy.
Finally circling back to this vlog after ducking all the spoilers until we were able to claim our first ride! 😂 Penguin Trek was _so_ fun! The dark ride scene at the beginning and the two launches are definitely the highlights for us. A little rougher around the corners after the second launch, but that might have just been our personal experience with the specific train that we were on. I also agree with Sam on the harness digging into the adult riders a little bit. Overall, though, I think that they did an amazing job refitting the former dark ride with an experience that's fun, thrilling, accessible to all ages...and educational, too! A five noodle ride ftw! We really loved that they kept the essential experience of exiting through the penguin enclosure in tact. 😁 It was like _literally_ going from the desert to the arctic and back again, stepping in and out of the queue and the exhibit into the heat of the Florida day haha great video, Jackie! Stay cool ☃

"Noodle it in there" and "Birdfish" (or was it fishbird?). Either way your a goofball...though a very endearing goofball. We haven't been to Seaworld in at least 10 years so appreciate the review. It's kind of amazing how some of these creatures can look so gracefull under water. I seen a polar bear swimming underwater there and it was very graceful. Same with hippos. We may have to hit the park again but wait until it's cooler. Appreciate the vid!

Hi! This is Holly. Our local zoo has penguins & I have found that if I hold a tissue in front of the glass & move it up & down, a curious penguin usually will follow it. If there is nobody else around, I can run back & forth w the tissue some will swim fast & follow!
We have a SeaWorld down here in San Antonio. I’ve only been once and it was a long time ago. But I would love to go again. But definitely not in the hot filled summer.

I'm so excited. Found out yesterday that I will be there for my birthday (July 4th) and that is a gold member pass preview day (Which I am). Will be watching the fireworks there also. I so love Sea World Fireworks. I just can't wait. I did say I was excited, right. I will also go the next day to Universal. What an awesome "59" birthday it is going to be. Never have to grow old, just an older kid. LOL

I like dark water rides this year i am a great and a biggest fan i was so young girl this month sea world i was a real daughter to them this week I enjoyed the dark peggins Trix ride is so awesome and amazing thrill dark ride i never ride it been a while since i was a baby girl this is Jenna Dabao had a great time and good day fun weekend be safe
There are scientists that guess the penguin evolution path in the future could have them giving up legs completely and going the evolutionary route of the seal although it’s an absolute guess that it will happen but it could as they do spend a lot of time on their bellies. I’ve seen a couple of documentaries kinda documenting to possible futures animals could become. Swans according to some scientists could evolve a second set of feathers on the feet to mimic a second pair of wings.
Sounds like that's another ride we chubby people would struggle to ride! Gotta get back on a serious diet I suppose 😜Otherwise for the roller coster fan that looked fun. Love the penguins! 🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧
Searching around online, it seems the 5 percent is to cover “increases in costs”. Interesting to approach it that way instead of just raising the price of things.
That “ice” will melt sooner or later. It’s made from foam. Foam is made from really bad plastic components. Every time I’m in that section I cough like crazy because the foam when exposed to heat fumes some really nasty chemical byproducts. I use foam for dioramas and you definitely need a carbon filter mask when you use any type of heat on it.
They should’ve used the same type of car that Busch gardens uses for darcoaster I can see why they didn’t but to be on an actual snowmobile looking train would make it 10x better >>>
They're different manufacturers, Darkoaster is Intamin and Penguin trek is made by B&M. I'd imagine Intamin has a patent that would prevent a similar design.
Yea the design is supposed to be inspired by one, but the seating is just normal coaster seating. I showed the ride vehicle and seats in an IAAPA video last year or the year before. Full on snowmobile seating would have been cool.

I love the decor and design features they chose for the ride. I can see for children of a certain age how they certainly would have a great time.
