Test Track is Closing!! + Riding Guardians Coaster, Frozen, Moana & More / EPCOT RIDES & Updates

- There’s a lot going on at EPCOT! Test Track is about to close permanently to be redesigned and rethemed and we don’t know when the new reimagined version will open. This is goodbye to Test Track 2.0 forever! Plus, it's that special time of year - Flower and Garden Festival is finally over, Food and Wine doesn't start until August, so we've got a nice, festival-free EPCOT theme park to explore! We'll ride some of my favorites using the dreaded lightning lanes, including ride POVs on Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind, Frozen Ever After, and Test Track one last time before the current form (Test Track 2.0) closes forever to be reimagined! We’ll also get splashed to stay cool in Journey of Water Inspired by Moana, and enjoy EPCOT in its non-festival form. Also, the construction is going strong at CommuniCore Hall and we can see the pretty new signage, colors, theming and more. We'll have a great summer day enjoying these top attractions, talking about big changes coming at EPCOT, and have a little chat too at the end!

Hi Jackie: Baking in the sun is not one of my favorite temperatures in S.CA. Has been cool for Spring which I like. When my husband and I went to EPCOT in 1983, fell in love with all the different lands and see what the future may be like in years to come. We have been back 15 years later and seen the changes. May Walt Disney's plan of the future fit in with EPCOT's changes. Such a beautiful Park to enjoy. Thank you for coming out to CA ...

I’m cautiously optimistic about Test Track’s reimagining based on the concept art, but as one of the maybe three people who prefers “TRON Track” to the original version, I’m still sad to see it go 🥲 I _am_ excited to see EPCOT finally taking a breath between festivals, though! Looked like a great day out, thanks for taking us along ✨
I am totally with you on braids being the only way to go! Most of my Florida trips in my life have been during August and I could never wear my hair down. I’m also always stunned by people who ride coasters with their hair loose - it must be so painful to brush when they get off!
Ooo. Concept art of new Test Track looks like it could be one of those new trackless vehicles seen in the newer Disney dark rides. If so, I wonder if the vehicle will spin out on the road like it's on a slick surface. Wish they would rip out the MK speedway in Tomorrowland and replace it with a dark indoor ride based on Tron... so basically another Tron ride but in Tron cars and kinda like the old Test Track.

My Columbia book bag is the best for the parks. It’s light and has nice felt pockets for glasses, phones, and such. And it’s flexible enough to fit into the smaller lockers at a universal. It works great for my wife and I.
Yes I always need pockets! Sunglasses, water bottle, hand sanitizer, all the things to make a theme park day more comfortable.

Good rides today. Hate to see test track gone but lightning McQueen would be cool if they do it. We always do breakfast at the restaurant beside frozen before the rope drop and sneak on frozen before our reservation. Little trick there.

I was thinking of you guys and the heat yesterday, it's still not really summer here but we've not had as much fog either the last couple of day! I’m going to be a little sad to see test track go, I like the Tron vibes it has now. But at the same time, I’m curious with how they’ll mix the theme with World of Motion. Also I’m glad to see a little love for the Frozen ride. People complain about it, but it fills me with such joy haha

I saw this on Instagram and my first thought was why leave your hair down...tie it up in a bun so it doesn't touch your neck or shoulders. Air flow is so important. You can do an easy knot with your hair alone or add a band to make it last longer. Anything over my ears is hotter. I'm a chef and work over 900° flat top everyday.
this keeps me cool and comfortable and fits under any hat. All the hair is totally off my neck when it's in braids. I do wear buns, ponytails and other things too of course, this is just my simple go-to that keeps me cool, coming from my whole life living in Florida . Different things will work for different people of course, just gotta do what's most comfortable to you. Of course, this hair stuff is all just meant to be a bit of silly fun, not to be taken too seriously :)

My only concern is with bayou adventure is I understand that you want the animatronics to be next level , but not to the point were it's so complex you can't maintain them.
that is a legitimate concern! the more modern and complex the technology, the more chance for issues and "b mode," like with Rise of the Resistance and the Shaman in Na'vi River Journey (tho the Shama seems to have worked itself out now). With Tiana's, we've also got lots of moisture in the mix. Let's hope they keep this maintained and in good shape!!
@SuperEnthused did you see the sneak peaks of the ride of the bayou adventure on youtube? I think the thing that surprised me the most was they didn't even add the new Orleans ferry boat at the end of the ride. At least it doesn't look like it from the video .

i love Thunder mountain...but normally don"t do roller coasters do you think I can do this ride
I think if you can do Big Thunder Mountain, you should be fine on this, but it's hard to say and I can't tell you for sure since everyone is different. It's not a roller coaster really, and the only "fast" part is outside. It's very mild in my opinion. :) If I was you, I'd give it a try at least once to see if I like it, as long as you are medically ok to ride. :)
I never get September. Finally got it the last time we went.
I still haven't rode Guardians yet because im don't want to get motion sick.
Yea it’s a gamble because some people do, some don’t. For me it’s fine but I can’t guarantee it will be for anyone else. I tried it the first time not knowing, and was ready to just see what happened.

I've seen a lot of people testing and sometimes destroying luxury cars for 🆓️, I still don't understand why I've been beaten up for that one carstereo and I've never been the hottest dog out there. Namastè.

On most rides yes, but it doesn’t seem to work on test track. I got my haunted mansion ride pic at MK this week without a magic band bc they’ve updated their system. I never did get my guardians ride photo tho, I even emailed them to ask and nothing 🥲
I try to stay positive on Disney stuff, which is getting harder, but communicore is going to be underwhelming- more meet and greets nothing really to actually do.
Yea, some new things haven’t really had the same magic that older things had. But I always try to reserve my judgment until I fully see something in person. Sometimes things have surprised me and been better than expected, and sometimes they’ve not lived up to what I expected. So we’ll see. I’ll be glad to have the construction walls down tho!

I don’t like guardians ride went on for the first time in April won’t do that again love test track and frozen and went to the new Moana area it was fun the ocean area wasn’t working then

I bet the crowds are so low because of that heat and humidity. I went in August like two years ago and I basically stayed in my room. I could not deal with the heat or humidity. Kudos to you getting out there and dealing with the temperatures. The two braids suits you, you definitely have to keep your hair off your neck. You will always catch me in a ponytail…😂 GOTG is my favorite ride at Epcot. I’ve only ever ridden on it twice, but it was during Christmas and the only song they were playing was that Christmas song. I literally could ride that ride all the time. I haven’t been to Disney in a couple years and it breaks my heart, one of these days I’ll get back there, until then I will keep enjoying your videos. Honestly Jackie, I love all your videos. It doesn’t matter what kind they are. I thoroughly enjoyed them.😊
Test track needs a bit of an update it doesn't really have any sort of an identity with the Tron-esque deco. Still cool tho.

it's true, it's a weird ride and I only like it because it goes fast and has dark parts and an outside park. I like some of the sounds and music too, but it's weird and needs some fixing up.

Epcot is my happy place, its my favorite park!..Love me some CakeToast and September 😁I can't wait to get back soon to celebrate July 4th! I'm excited to see what they do with Test Track too. After just getting home from Disneyland and DCA, it really makes me miss Radiator Springs! Looks to me like the hair braids came in handy, they passed the test once again Lol. Hi Jackie! Long time watcher, sometimes commenter. I truly enjoy all your videos. You just have a positive life, and the adventures you have are wonderful. Here in Atlanta, we don't have the quality theme parks you do, so getting to see your experiences make it like we are a part of the trip. I do want to recommend Wilderness at the Smokies the next time you do Pigeon Forge/Gatlinberg. Just spent two nights there, and tried out their indoor waterslide park. Too much fun.
I hope they bring back the centaur animatronic that was used for the world of motion. 😂😅

It’s still warm usually by then, but nowhere near as bad now! Could rain a bit, but just be prepared for Florida warm summer conditions. Have fun!!
