Does this game have a decent amount of players? I'm finishing up building my first PC and I get nervous about buying games like this. Looks super great but I get worried about not knowing people to play with.
Lots of Players and getting more and more also if you Tell them that you’re new to the game many of the players will try to help you out. Squad for the most part has a very open and friendly community would def recommend you to buy it if you’re interested in teamplay and military

@@capslock3417 Awesome! Thank you! It definitely looks like a game I can get really into. Coming from console, there isn't a whole lot of games like this. Looking at getting into Squad and Escape From Tarkov at first. Possibly some Post Scriptum and Hell Let Loose later on too.
According to steam stats, never less than 1000 players, currently I think Squad is getting more popular with a couple of thousands average daily players.

This game is great but damn, I’m fucking tired of “Server closed connection” or “Anti-cheat timed out”. This shit has been happening since day one. It’s been years, they should have already fixed it. Anyone have a home-made fix?

@Sanity Ridden Reflex Mi-6 cannot carry tanks. It can carry BMD-1 and BMD-2, though.

My heli pilots be like yeet
They should ban helicopter ramming, my squad was in a helicopter ( I had gotten out ) and they apparently rammed a vehicle, killing all 8 members of my squad and destroyed the helicopter. All it does is cost you tickets and is pointless.
Watching your Squad videos always makes me want to try it, but then I realize how much it must suck to be on the receiving end of a competent squad...
You dont do Hull damage with small arms, just saying, even if you do you probably have to drop something about 1000+ rounds into it.

Honestly, if we could create a game mode in the future that revolves around helicopters assaulting fortifications that would be awesome, but with how the game currently is that is really hard.
Still love the idea of building massive, massive super FOBs on both sides, then having helicopters try and land troops to take out the super FOBs.
I may just be day dreaming tho

How is the squad community towards younger players
You won't be respected
There are servers that are labeled as "new player friendly." Those are open to all types of players. New or young. The communities in other servers are also friendly as long as you don't try doing things like Squad Leading with no experience. If you're young and noticeable in your voice, it's likely others won't take you very serious as squad leader. That's a hit or miss.
