Have you tried replacing all the electrolytic and ceramic caps in the aduio path with film caps when suitable capacitance and voltage can be had and only running lytics where you just can not get a film cap of suitable rating? I talk on SSB more than on AM that said 150Mhz-4000Mhz and 110%-120% modulation with negatives held to 98% sound like something I might enjoy. Kind of like the difference between being buff and athletic versus looking like a body builder.

The echo was that because of the close proximity of the radios or was it an effect you were using on stompbox? When you turned the camera to the stock 29/2000GTL it was hard to hear what you was saying

I am not keen on music or echo either. I do not mind enough delay and echo to make your room sound large and lively but beyond that if you can hear the effect it is too much. AM FM broadcast has been around longer than CB nothing stickman can build or modify is going to sound better or even as good as commercial music broadcast so why do it. Let's not even consider it is against the law. It serves no purpose and keeps people from talking oh did I mention it sounds like shit compared to commercial music broadcast's? CB was made so that one human being could talk to another not transmit bullshit music.
