Conditioning isnt everything. The Olympia feels like its almost an x-factor thing and also what ultimately the judges think. Samson just has so many good points. Hadi has conditioning, but Samson has EVERYTHING else. Of course Hadi doesnt like it because that is all he has and cant win otherwise. Sorry but his genetics arent what the judges arent looking for at the moment, that's the way it is. He has already won once, what else does he want. There are lots of great bodybuilders that havent even won a Mr O yet that are coming up real fast.
INTERESTING FACT - Blessing Awodibu beat Samson Dauda at the arnold classic in 2017

I mean look, I get it. Hadi is by far the most conditioned bodybuilder in the Open class. If he won would It have been a surprise ? No it wouldn't have. But Samson offers something that Hadi doesn't which is overall mass and structure. Hadi has or is maxing out his Frame whereas Samson could put on more quality muscle and has a greater potential because of his freaky x frame and structure. Its subjective and dependent on what you like

I think the extent to which the criteria have changed is slightly overstated. Yes, they have changed some. But we also never saw a Samson like this face prime Hadi before. It’s possible he would have beaten him in this shape before the criteria changed. As many have correctly said, when you beat the guy in mass, structure and aesthetics, condition does not have to match 100%.

I wish this line of thinking would stop being propagated by Nick and other bodybuilding RUclipsrs. Ask literally anybody who was at the show and they’ll almost all say the same thing; Samson inarguably beat Hadi and everybody else on that stage on those two days. Plain and simple. It’s not “they want shape now” or “they want condition now”, what they want is all of the factors that combined make the best bodybuilder on the stage to win so they judge accordingly.

I had Hadi winning the last 6 Olympia’s because I prefer his physique and the condition he comes in. Bodybuilding is very subjective so I’m never surprised with an outcome! I think it was very close and am happy Sampson won, and am excited to see what happens this year at the Arnold and Olympia! Men’s Open is the most exciting and competitive it has been in a long time and I am glad to be a fan during this era!
