The picture of the triangle device with the hand in the corner is for the 800 series not 500 .

I just got the nosch 500 and used this feature. I'm very happy with the feature my question is the display is still displaying 2:09. Is it finished or do I have to shut the machine off manually. Also it is not as quiet as my last Bosch.

@lillianfranco9607 If the 2:09 is flashing and the door is slightly open then the cycle is completed. You can simply press the power button if you want to turn the display off.

How far open does the door open? Does it open all the way or just partially?

Is there anyway to have the dishwasher turn off once the auto air pops the door open? Mine just blinks 'Auto' and '2:09' indefinitely it seems.

@evcw2237 Yes, you can have it turn off automatically after 1 minute. Here are the steps:
1. Press the On/Off button
2. Hold down the Normal cycle button and press the Start button until you see d:00
3. Release both buttons
4. Press the Normal cycle button until the display says P:01
5. Press the Rinse button until the display corresponds with your requirements
6. Press the Start button

Really?!! How to program the auto air setting should be the ending of this video to not leave us Hangin' out to dry!!
OK after I posted this, I took a closer look at the button options; there is one labeled "Auto Air" just press that and bingo. Still, how long would it take on the video to say 'Press the Auto Air button for this feature to work'?

Probably press the button that says "Auto Air" on it? If yours doesn't have the button, it's the older 500 series without the feature.

Is the air dry setting use more or less electricity than not using it?

Uses no extra electricity as all it does is open the door.
