- How do you get someone to forgive you? Perhaps you had an affair, did something stupid, or said something you should not have said. Now the person you love is struggling to forgive you and won't even talk to you.
You can't make anyone forgive you. So when we say, "How to get someone to forgive you," what we really should mean is "what can we do to help someone forgive us?" You can never force forgiveness.
These 5 points, however, can give you the best opportunity to help someone you hurt to forgive you.
1. Ask, don't demand forgiveness.
2. Repent, don't just say you are sorry.
3. Be willing to receive a biblical rebuke.
4. Allow them to be angry.
5. Pray for them.

Not to sound weak, but I feel exactly this way because a month ago I started getting into a fight with my girlfriend and it was all about one fight due to me worrying about how much she loves me, me losing my iPhone for days+getting bullied and trying to get more attention from her as a coping mechanism, and I overreacted around her accusing her of not supporting me enough when she was having stress too and I miss her a lot and in our relationship it’s a lesson learned.
It’s weirder how this person offends you and you forgive them immediately but you make a mistake of the same level and you spend lots and lots of energy trying to be forgiven (typing paragraphs etc etc)
I’m desperately looking for someone to forgive me. It’s so difficult to not be torn apart by the punishment I’m going through for my terrible action. But I’m really wishing that I could get forgiven and reconciled. I need to hear more words like this.

Honestly I personally believe that no matter what you do to get someone to forgive you it's their choice whether or not they want to sadly

I accept that I messed up and said somethings to my friend that I didn't have the right to say and as I realised I tried to talk to her asking for forgiveness. She didn't reply anything. I gave her time and then I tried again to apologise and to convince her that I have improved myself and I can be a better Friend but she didn't forgive me and now I regret it everyday.

Dayana Flores my girl says that to me a lot so I know from personal experience that it isn’t a easy thing to convince any of them otherwise but I can say from experience that you just have to show them how happy you are and you have to tell them straight up that if you were miserable you would leave just prove to them that you are at your best with them and constantly tell them that you feel at your best around him and if he doesn’t believe you consider finding things to boost his self esteem cuz I know from experience what it’s like to look down on yourself as a boyfriend and a person as a whole everytime my girlfriend acts off or out I feel like I’m doing a bad job at being a boyfriend so just try the things I told you and if that doesn’t work try some things to boost up his self esteem because at the end of the day for you to last long term you both have to be happy, good luck and if you need any further advice Let me know

The agony of having broken the trust bond between myself and my beloved friend, because of my personal insecurities of feeling inadequate when he needed me the most. I shut the door to contemplate with the source quietly and gave him space. But that made him feel so abandoned and betrayed. I realized the fault of my ways right away and I literally haven't stopped crying, asking him to please understand why, and that I'm in such torture over hurting him. I am so heart broken over how much pain he is also wrestling with now, I can't sleep knowing how unraveled ans rattled he's feeling.
I would do anything to release that suffering around Hua head ans heart. I acknowledge the ways I've hurt him in such a split moment. I thought it was indirectly but absolutely it hurt him directly I will never deny nor justify my actions had definite consequences.
He has been abandoned numerous times before and he does not deserve to be treated like that. My own frailty and insecurities really got the better of me. I thought I would only burden him more. But I never ever intended to abandon him nor ever would I forsaken all that we have developed up to that point.
He's chosen to outcast me so thoroughly that I'm less than someone who he used to know and beyond a stranger.
I deleted myself from his online friends list because of one reason, I felt inadequate and unworthy at that moment. There were so many things which lead up to that moment. We couldn't break through the obstacles. Initially when I asked for forgiveness he forgave me. But soon after he became completely inconsolable.
A disingenuous and truly vile person would have completely shut the door and ran off, screaming many profanities, or even continue to stalk him, drilling their point into him, that he would continue to be treated poorly. This has happened to him.
I chose to see the wrongs of my ways and I stand firm in my original love, honoring and devotion to him. No matter how insecure I may feel from time to time. I would never hurt him. We are both troubled by past traumas.
I can now only carry on quietly in prayers. My actions are to continue to learn and to repent. I can't forgive myself until he truly forgives me and I'm someone again on his eyes worthy of trust.

Tell her that you thought it was her who said that, although it was actually the hacker. Maybe you should say you are sorry and you know that it wasn't her.

I was dating someone for about a year, and we broke up because of me. It was for the good of the relationship. I did not cheat or do any harm to them. What I did discover is that they cheated on me. I still forgive them for cheating on me, and I also asked for forgiveness. For what I had done. and continued to be their friends. I Prayed for them. I just want them to know that I really love them, and care for them. I go out of my way to do anything for them. We are now talking again, and I just pray that they don't hurt me again. I also pray that they can grow to have a warmer heart and be more loving.

This is the predicament I'm in now. My spiritual mother has refused to truly forgive me or receive me back. In fact she has cast me away like garbage and told others to do the same and her daughter, she has told them all I'm not following Jesus and don't believe the truth which is a lie!,, They are saying I'm not repentent when I am. She refuses to look at her part. I have forgiven I long for reconciliation. I love all of them. But they refuse to reconcile.

I already prayed to God about this. I asked God if this person would ever see his wrongdoings and truly apologize for them. God told me almost immediately that I cannot wonder and worry about what someone else is doing. He said that I admitted my mistakes; I apologized for them; and that's all I can do. He told me to stay forward, keep reading the Bible, and continue to rebuild my relationship with Him. God told me never to go back to that dark place: my obsession of wanting to know/ be in control. I would watch tarot endlessly, stalk social all day. I was a complete mess! It wasn't until a year later when I really hit rock bottom that God led me back to Him. I can't believe that I used to put tarot- a deck of cards- over Jehovah! It's shameful and I repented for my sins. I can see some of the reasons why God didn't bless me with a marriage: I was emotionally underdeveloped; I wasn't able to express romantic emotions in a clear, mature manner; but most of all, I never had Faith in regards to love! When it comes to my family, myself, my career, my education, finances, I always knew to give it to God and put all my faith into Him. But for some odd reason, I never did that with love. I only had two "relationships": one is the person who I would like to reconcile with or at least talk and say our peace and the other was just a love interest. I didn't start watching tarot until the love interest began to give me mixed signals. I never prayed to God about it. I went straight to tarot. Then, after me and my past person got into a really bad argument, what did I do again? Did I pray to God? Did I consult the Bible? Nope. Like a fool, I went straight to tarot. So even though this journey is a long and painful one, I am so grateful for it. God is reteaching me old life and teaching me new life lessons that are so important. He is making me so much wiser. I am so grateful to God and I am unworthy of the favor He has given me.

Guys i need major help, I messed up really BAD and idk what to do.
So basically around a year ago, I started being distant from my old group cause I didnt feel like I belonged. So then a classmate of mine asked me why I stopped sitting with my ex frd grp and I ranted to her. I basically said that they didn’t include me, that i felt left out, I didnt really feel comfortable in that grp anymore. It was a year ago, I said smth along the lines of that , don’t remember what i said.
So now, im not frds with that classmate anymore and she decided to tell my old frd grp what I said. Now my old frd grp is threatening to beat me up and my friends.
So then I talked to them and denied what i said. When i talked to them said smth like “shes lying, I’ve never talked crap about our old group” “I didn’t feel like I belonged in ur group, that was why I said that” and then we were good. So I basically fricking lied which im regret so much idk what i was doing or why i lied, im so dumb.

They confronted me, with messages that i sent, they wont show me what those messages are but i honestly don’t remember and when i asked to talk privately they brought over the girls that said were gonna beat me up. So then we talked, she yelled at me and called me liar which i deserved, and I said “im really sorry about whatever i did, but i honestly don’t remember much about what i said” and i honestly did not lie there, it was a year ago, i don’t remember. I was pretty immature last year. And she called me a b word and so now im scared to go to school cause shes going to beat me up. And I am sorry for what i did, but she wont believe me, what do i do.

Be willing to receive a physical rebuke from that person of you want them to forgive you.
(Yes this is what has happened I got defensive, but the other person also would not receive when they sinned against me too)
Allow that person to be angry.
Forgiveness is wiping the slate clean from what happened
Reconciliation is different it is to have the relationship to return to before the offense was taken.

I don’t know if she counts as a friend, but she used to talk with me in Year 3, well not always. She used to jumpscare me for fun, and she used to hug me, and we hang out together in school trip park. We gave gifts each other. In year 5, she’s in my class again but we barely talked.
