      not exactly, i am a proud atheist, and i don't have a problem with people having devout religious beliefs & convictions, and no, atheism is not a religion, it has nothing to do with satanism, which is a religion.
      for full clarity; us atheists do not believe god & satan, heaven & hell, angels & demons, or the concept of an afterlife actually exists at all, because no actual proof or evidence has been demonstrated that they actually exists. and no, books such as the bible, Torah, Quran, the Vedas, the satanic bible, are not proof & evidence that they exists, they are only claiming & asserting that they do.
      us atheists are also sick & tired of this constant woke LGBTQ whining & complaining about their so called identities and their fragile feelings. there are only 2 genders: MEN & WOMEN, and only women can give birth, there's no such thing as "TRANS WOMEN OR MEN", that's just a mental & emotional illness, that was only acknowledge back in the old days over 100 years ago, and exploited these people as circus & carnival freaks.

Before we had kids (and actually for the first few months after our first was born,) my wife would have said she couldn't imagine not working. She loved her job as a high school math teacher. We're blessed that my job affords us the flexibility that she can stay home. I've always told her I want her to do what she wants. Now she would tell you that she can't imagine doing anything other than staying home with the kids (at least while they are still young.) They had been made to feel like they needed to apologize and say, “I’m JUST a housewife,” if anyone asked them what they did. … That all started in the 1970’s and 1980’s, and it’s really only gotten worse, as evidenced by the fact that Mr. Butker can’t even say homemaking is a viable, fulfilling thing without cultural elites going crazy. … Trust me, it’s not HOW Butker said it, it’s WHAT he said.

    This is one of the most INTELLIGENT conversations that I have heard about this topic!! Harrison talked about THE LIE that women have been told. That lie is that staying home diminishes you as a woman. Feminists will say that they are for choice, but you can tell by the outrage that they feel this is demeaning to women. They also tell you that women can have it all, a career and children. You are the first person that says honestly how hard it is and how much is required to do this. If you are a single woman, you have to be educated and have a good job to afford daycare. If you are lucky and have a good support system, there are family members or friends to help you pick up some of the slack. I agree that men need to step up because we need active fathers. Fathers that are present in their kids lives for more than just income. Fathers that protect, teach, and love their children. The distrust goes both ways. Men distrust women because of feminism, and women distrust men who can't lead. You can see by ALL of these women calling Harrison misogynistic that they have been brainwashed or clearly dont know what the word means. Feminism teaches women that they dont need to be dependent on a man. Just have 5 kids to five different dead beat men and you will see what dependance is when they wont get a job to pay child support. Women need help with children. If you work, you need daycare. Daycare is largely run by women. Daycare is expensive and some women women will use a large chunk of your paycheck to pay for this. If you dont have resources, you won't get to take your pick of daycares. You wont get to have the choices you may want. These are the things that we need to be discussing with young women instead of the polarizing effect that feminism has.

      They are often incapable of admitting their faults or willing to incorporate information from others into their individual decisions. I agree with you that talking to others is becoming increasingly miserable. I actively seek out information from those who don’t share my thoughts and opinions. I have found on numerous occasions that I am more interested in learning more about the topic which influences me to adjust my own perspective. These people are only interested in silencing and punishing others who have different opinions from them. That is until they realize that the same infringement is going to harm them in the same manner. Then they become hypocrites and start calling you names although they don’t understand the term or definition of the word they are incorrectly using to describe the opposition.

    I had my first daughter in between my junior and senior years of high school. Me and her mother both finished school by splitting the day of school. I took the first two hours of a 6 hour day off of school and got my daughter ready to go in the morning. Her mother would go to school for them two hours then I would bring my daughter to school and the school allowed my fiancé to stay at school for her last two hours with my daughter with her in a room by themselves to do her final two hours of school. It wasn't until I joined the military 2 years later that she did not have to work and could stay home with our now daughter and son. The time I was in the military was by far the happiest of our marriage even though I was gone much of the time, because she was able to stay home with the kids and not worry about paying bills. Unfortunately we did eventually divorce about 10 years after I left the military and a huge part of it was that we were never able to get to the point financially where she could stay home full time again. That's my anecdotal story, obviously it isn't like this for everyone but it would have been for us and for the majority of people I've ever come into contact with.

    This has stunned me as well. The same individuals who are condemning Harrison Butker are the same individuals who are supporting the protests taking place on college campuses across the country. During these protests they are flying Palestinian flags. Symbols can carry the same messages as words. If you follow the logic that people have used to remove the confederate flag(Which I agree with), they determined that the flag itself carried messages that were inherent no matter how it was flown. Any flag flown from a nation that practices conservative islamic values is also promoting restricting women's freedoms. Far more aggressively than Harrison Butker spoke to at this commencement address.
    These same individuals have been promoting the idea that the protests taking place on college campuses are expressions of free speech. If that is the case on public campuses, when there is being property damage done and there are uninvolved students inconvenienced by those actions, how can his words even begin to offend them spoken at a Private Catholic Institution? He has a right to express his beliefs. Whether I completely agree with the messaging or not(I am an atheist so I normally stay away from religion). I agree that others can disagree with him, but to call for his resignation makes no sense. How can you be willing to take away someone's livelihood over their religious opinion? What if there was a muslim football player who had his wife wear a hijab? I see women across the US who have immigrated here wear a hijab, and they may attend a conservative place of worship. Shouldn't that be just as offensive as a Catholic American(if you are offended by Harrison Butkers statement)?
    I feel like we have lost the ability to be objective in this country. Its horrifying.

F.A.F.O Nobody’s too big to fail and when you’re revenue isn’t there and the players don’t get the crazy money, they’ll choose other sports instead…. Bunch of louses

      You know, I expected the NFL to have more problems with the wokeness and kneeling, but like the entertainment industry, some things take time to develop. The NFL has pushed the envelope enough that FAFO should be happening soon.

      If he is to be terminated because of his individual beliefs which he was asked to share, this is discrimination and we should not accept this behavior and most revolt. We should be willing to defend and protect the rights and liberties of all Americans, including those who have differing opinions from us. I fear that this kind of behavior will only increase the division within our country and the people who are calling for his removal from the league will regret their choices. What happens when the other party obtains the power and their ideology is treated with the same respect as ours? We see the hypocrisy in advocating for such infringement and we are not going to tolerate it. Left right or center, we have to prioritize Americans and protect the fundamental values of our constitution.

    Isn’t hiring people based on their race, religion etc already against the law? So why do we need any kind of diversity department when laws are already in place?

    • @brennengodeen3796
      @brennengodeen3796 23 дня назад +1

      Like most administrative positions, they check a box and virtue signal to their audience. They only prioritize their interests over true diversity. If Butker was to be terminated from the NFL, I would think that would meet the criteria for discrimination right? The treatment of others in a way that actively encourages limiting their access and opportunity for success would be demonstrated in regards to his individual opinion?

    "In 2011, at 33 years old, I was only making between 45 and 50 thousand dollars. I wasn't making that much money"........ What a snobbish, elitist thing to say. Back in 2011, most 33 yr. old everyday Americans were not making $50,000 a year! ..You're offending millions of hard-working bus drivers, factory workers, cooks, teachers, cashiers, waiters and waitresses, and plenty of other modest earning Americans that would've traded with you in a heartbeat! ..Compared to most, you weren't doing bad at all. I mean, this dude is a 100 percent, complete, SNOB. But on another lighter note, I do agree with Harrison Butker's speech. The Outkick SNOB got that part right.

    My greatest achievement in my life is being a husband and a father. I have a great career and there are ample opportunities for me to move up in the place I work. However, the upward advancement requires a lot of time and energy away from my family. I'm not willing to sacrifice that time because me being a present husband and father is my greatest vocation. I think society overemphasizes the gain and get mentally where less kids are being born in the world and the familial dynamic is falling apart. I think Harrison was eluding to this. I think the united media is summed up best in Romans 1

    I’m glad to hear the opinion from a successful athlete and value the importance of exercising the ability of individual choice to accept or reject the opinions of others. However demanding the termination of an employee for sharing information with others is unacceptable and to be rejected by the majority of Americans. I am beyond irritated by the group of people who are demanding the infringement and removal of the freedom of speech. They want to be able to express themselves freely without punishment but are not willing to accept that others have differing views and should be punished as a criminal for such actions. This is the group that is a growing concern for the increasing division of the country. I have friends who reject religion and identify as Atheist. I support their individual right to choose and respect their beliefs and I value the importance of being able to do so. I believe that if we were to have our rights and freedoms threatened by the government, we would revolt and support our fellow Americans and protect the rights of everyone, even those who disagree with you.

  • @VMuzikman
    @VMuzikman 23 дня назад +1

    Hey, Clay, what were the numbers between the 1979 NCAA Men's Championship and Magic Johnson's first games with the Lakers? Hint: Back then you couldn't even find the NBA on national TV. The 1980 NBA Championship wasn't broadcast live to most of the U.S. because the league was so unpopular. (Look it up.) What you are comparing -- an NCAA championship vs. a regular season WNBA game -- are apples and oranges. The audience figure you gave is about what she got for a Big Ten regular season on a Sunday afternoon. Give this five years and then see. Maybe you will be proven right. Maybe not.
