  • Adam Aston & Ork. Witolda Tychowskiego (acc. by W.Tychowski Orchestra) - Miłość Cygana (Loving a Gypsy) [Zigeuner, du hast mein Herz gestohlen] Tango (Austin Egen, Franz Grothe - Meteor), Syrena-Electro 1934
NOTE: This German tango from 1934 is called briefly the “Zigeuner - Tango” (Full German title: Zigeuner, du hast mein Herz gestohlen: Gypsy, You Have Stolen My Heart). Composed by two exquisite German composers Austin Egen and Franz Grothe and recorded by the best German dance-orchestras, it has immediately became one of the great tangos of the world of the 1930s and also today very often it is performed by international ballroom orchestras. Here is its Polish version from 1934: year of the Zigeuner-Tango’s debut on the international music market. Performed by Adam Aston’s mellow voice and accompanied by dreamy sound of Hawaiian guitars of Wiktor Tychowski’s Orchestra, it makes perfect match to the slideshow of similar dreamy photographs of Warsaw, as it looked shortly before the onset of the war.
