EV's are not cost effective or of value.

As well they should. Ultimately it requires more energy to run an EV and over the life of a car will create more pollution (think of how those monstrous batteries will have to be handled after the life of the car).

The equipment used, child labor, increased waste, buren on elec. grid and so on....To add fact to Regan's point about "cleaner burning combustion"; There is a patent rule that the patent office will not patent an engine that gets over 70% efficiency! There's been many carbs that claim to get 75-80% efficiency but will never see market!
