The Ultimate Camping Dessert (Roadside Recipes with Yama Vans)

Easy Jelly Donuts 🍓
Makes 20 mini donuts 👥
Ingredients:
° 1 package pre-made biscuit dough (e.g., Pillsbury)
° 750ml canola oil (or other oil with a high smoke point)
° ¾ cup jam of choice
° 1 cup cinnamon-sugar mixture (1 cup white sugar with 1 Tbsp cinnamon)
Instructions:
1. Start by heating oil in a medium pot on medium-high heat until temperature reaches between 350-375F. TIP: If you don’t have a thermometer, you can check by dipping the end of a wooden spoon into the oil and looking for tiny bubbles starting to form. Once you see bubbles, the oil is ready!
2. Cut biscuit dough in half and shape into round donut balls.
3. Fry donuts until golden brown on both sides. Remove and let oil drain for a moment before rolling in cinnamon-sugar.
4. Poke a small hole in one side of the donut using a sharp knife.
5. Using a piping bag, squeeze your favourite jelly or jam into the centre of the donut. TIP: if you don’t have a piping bag, you can cut the corner off a clean Ziploc bag and use this as a makeshift piping bag.
6. Enjoy warm!

° Medium-sized pot
° Heat resistant tongs
° Cutting board and knife
° Reusable piping bag or Ziploc bag
