So I want to tune my car and eventually get to stage 2 with a down pipe, I’m wondering how the drone is on the freeway. Hi only have one car and I use it to transport my grandma to and from places like doctors appointments and what not and I really don’t think she wants to hear my loud car. So if I take it out of dynamic and keep the valves closed on the exhaust will it be a little quieter or is it always going to be loud?
how would the car run without an intercooler man? im planning to go stage 2 with my 2020 A3 but im getting mixed feelings without an intercooler
Got CTS Downpipe installed, was already stage 1 tuned. I was looking forward for the pops and bangs but dont hear it like yours. Anything different you did after install?

Just ordered this downpipes for my s3, just stuck between putting the test pipe or cat on. Im also from jersey, I'd prefer hatless but ya know.... inspection lmao. If you go catless what would you do regarding inspection?

I would go catless tbh haha.. but when it’s time for inspection just put the cat back on and make sure you have a tune that reacts the emissions monitors and you’re good to go.. right now I’m running the high flow cat but I’m almost positive im gonna rider the test pipe they sell

Do you have pop and bang map? .. because i got my s3 and it came with downpipe on but doesn’t have them pops at all
Yes I have burbles in sport mode only and none in normal. It’s a feature you can choose to have or not when getting tuned by eqt

Yes, the downpipe adds little volume with the stock catback but def a good performance gain once tuned. You should enjoy it

Damn I wanna do this to my S3 as it seems to be pretty integral to a stage 2 setup, but I already have OEM res delete that's pretty loud. I wonder if this will make my car unbearable haha
Sooo I’ve actually heard some setups with this same downpipe and the res delete and imo it sounds really good. I’ll be doing the res delete in the next week or so since I need a little more volume out of the car lol

Not sure tbh. I’m hoping at least 380whp haha
@@DArias if it’s stage 2 410 hp then to the wheel about 350-360 max
how well do you hear the burbles while moving?
They’re decently loud now and noticeable.. will be much louder if I took out the secondary cat lol.. absolutely much better now though
@@DArias secondary cat? i thought the exhaust on these cars is just a cat res and muffler

I haven’t had to go through emissions yet for the car so I guess we will find out when the time comes lol still catted though so I’m sure no issues
@@DArias Ah gotcha! Are you in NY? I'm in Westchester and was wondering if you could recommend a good place to have the DP installed? I do most of my own work, but the DP seems like a big PITA without a lift.

Tbh I didn’t take any in cabin videos unfortunately but there’s zero drone from the downpipe. In some of my most recent videos you can hear inside the cabin

That didn’t take long, so going stage 2 already 😉 I had a catted CTS on my GTI and it smells almost like not having one, How is this one?
Yessir! Haha stage 2 as we speak now it’s incredible! And you’re 10000000% right. It is catted but the catless smell still is noticeable assuming because the cat is tiny and what not.. most likely going to get the test pipe that CTS sells lol
Full straight pipe please! Jk jk. I think just removing the secondary cat will make it sound exactly how it needs to. Or maybe a catback?
