    Good job, suggest further improvement. Also make a gadget on the back of trike to store the front wheel; in case a rider wants to get off to another path during middle of the ride.

    Okay yes this is absolutely fabulous. What about those of us with a tadpole configuration? My wife and I like to ride but she is much slower than I, to hook these two together would be fantastic. Keep up the good work guys and keep thinking outside the box.

      Much more complicated to connect two tadpole trikes together, but we have made tadpole coupling systems before. The preferred solution is to add pedal assist to the slower trike so both riders can stay together.

    I hope someone gave the guy running the drill a safety lecture. I worked at Cat for over 30 years and we had guys with missing fingers, hands and arms from wearing too loose of clothing and getting caught in the machinery. Had one guy who thought he locked his radial drill in place and turned his back on it and he ended up 3 isles over in about 40 pieces. Not a nice picture.

    I have been mulling this over in my mind and now to see it in action it is super exciting. I especially loved when you put three in a row making a full on train. I am curious though, since you knew the trike that was going to be following, why did you not create the bracket to keep the front fork of the rear trike the same height off of the ground that it would be if it were connected to an actual wheel?

    I do have 2 deltas. The first is 13 years old Sinner Comfort, from Netherlands. Seconds is basically brand new Sun ax-3x with under-steering. The only drawback with USA-made trike, which is absolutely mind blowing trike anyway is the lack of diffirential. Only right wheel is going, which make any attempt of hauling anything. Even myself on uphill is impossible. SUN AX-X3 is very sturdy under-stearing controlled trike. The only drawback is the missing diffirential. However, i've hooked up the SUN to the Sinner, which has the diffirential and it works great.
    This was great video. I wonder what would it cost to make coupler for the SUN AX-X3?

    If you are making small customized parts for personalizing trikes/quads, may be you should consider 3D printing, such as “Desktop Metal” and one other German company BIgRap as an example. I think this could be a win win situation for quality of parts, for you (productivity & profits) and for customers. Just a though as I see more of your videos and see that you not only sell recumbent bikes/trikes/quads but modify and customize them in-house putting your ideas and technical expertise.

    I first saw this concept on the RANS trike but I've always wondered how well does it track around corners if you have a long chain of 4 or more trikes?

    • @AmiApache
      @AmiApache 3 года назад

      I've done cornering all my life. In tandem- with trailed attached. Delta-trike, with trailer attached. Delta-trike-tandem with trailer is on the menu. With tandem acts ok. 2 delta's cornering is easy. You only must know where your rear-end is going. Same principle as with trailer, only little bit longer.

    I recently picked up two used Easy Racer deltas. My husband has the HD and I have the AX. I've seen trikes in a train before, so how is this different from the standard(?) connection? I don't remember it done with the HD, though...

    • @UtahTrikesOnline
      @UtahTrikesOnline  4 года назад +1

      Flexibility is the key, so the following trike's fork can pivot as needed to handle turns and ups and downs. Greenspeed makes a coupler that works on their Anura, but won't work on any other trike and with most trikes being different enough they each require a couple that can mount to their rear axle.

    I'm trying to attach a Kettwiesel to the back of a Scorpion FS20. I'm thinking of a bracket that attaches to the uppermost seat skewer and the rack attachment screws just above. Then mounting the Hase coupler to it. It's going to lift the front of the Kett about 5 inches which isn't too bad. The biggest problem will be heal strike in a tight turn. What do you think? Any ideas greatly appreciated.
    P.S. I don't want to go the route of Hase's attachment to a DF bike due to cost and I dont find it an elegant solution.

    • @UtahTrikesOnline
      @UtahTrikesOnline  4 года назад

      The main concern would be adding to much lateral force to the Scorpion's rear swing arm during turns. You'll want to make sure that the pivot you connect to the fork of the Kett can pivot in all directions.

    • @barrienew4167
      @barrienew4167 4 года назад

      @@UtahTrikesOnline Thanks for the quick reply. I think I've got all three axes covered by using the Hase coupler and the Kett's steering. My biggest worry is getting heal strike and hence putting lateral force on the swingarm. I'll let you know how I get on. Thanks again.
