After 1n half hours of frustration in getting this spring back in place, I was smart enough to find this youtube. You little beauty, you saved my day !!!!
This is also useful if you happen to accidentally undo the center bolt (like me). I was rushing, and assumed the center bolt needed to be removed to remove to guard in order to change the blade. Trying to put it back together without this video is $%#%$#!!! This repair video made the whole process super simple.
hahahahaha. yes. this. I did this yesterday, then the bolt flew away never to be seen again as I fat fingered trying to put it all back together wrong. for anyone as stupid as me, it's part #47, an M5x12 bolt you can pick up at a local hardware store.
Lifesaver. I took the blade guard off by mistake when changing a blade and could not for the life of me figure out how to get the spring in the right position.

My guard hasn't worked right in years. Thanks for the easy to understand tutorial, now it's working perfectly!
Just saved a very expensive visit to the repair shop for this; excellent clear video, well covered off, thanks!

That is what happened to me with my Ryobi saw, then the spring jumped out and how do you get it back?
I desperately needed this, thanks so much for the great video!
ditto!
This video clearly showed how to replace the torsion spring and reattach the blade guard on this saw. It was very helpful!
