the Gamcube has the older TEV, the TEV on the Wii can simulate shaders therefore making it look and act like it has shaders, rendering nice graphics and such. wii is stronger than Xbox one but only slightly. The Wii is faster than xbox in some aspects. The only thing it is lacking is a direct hardware shader, but like I said, the TEV when used correctly can do very nice stuff, look at Mario Galaxy, and especially the effects in the Conduit.
@1mACann0n You also need to understand that infrared for the wiimote is just for the pointing device, NOT motion controls. Motion controls for the Wii with motion plus is a combination of gyroscopes and accelerometers, which is the same tech as the PS move. Except the Move is an addon, where as Wii was meant to be motion control out of the box, so there is no shared ram like the PS3 when the motion information is processed, making the Wii's refresh rate faster/responsive.
@1mACann0n As well, the move is more complex than the Wii mote ALONE in terms of motion control, but with the motion plus on the Wii, it makes it just as responsive in 3D space, since motion plus tracks motion, depth of movement, speed, and tilt position at all fronts. very similar tech. The pointer controls are faster and more responsive on the wiimote than the move from what I have played, not just hypothetical research. Wii is the preferred motion gaming console for me.

@BillyCauseyjr It won't go numb if you rest your arm on your lap, you aren't suppose to be pointing the wiimote at the screen like how you point with a sword of something. And by controls, I mean the IR pointing device is much more accurate than traditional analog sticks. I got a PS3, but I just can't enjoy the plethora of FPS due to the controls being far worse than Wii FPS.
@FoxShot01 Speaking of RAM, it's funny. I don't know who, it could've been Factor 5, but someone said the Gamecube could have easily handled the Xbox version of Doom 3 had it not been for RAM issues.

I know what's a TEV unit (at least I'm a direct3d coder) and it's a very primitive 8 stage combiner with some additional logic designed for EMBM. it can't do shaders, it's a TEXTURE Envirorment unit, it can *simulate* some shaders effect but it CAN'T do what a shader unit can. It has not fixed functions and wii applys its blending and shading effects via z buffer **trick** ***EVEN GAMECUBE HAVE the same TEV units.***
How can the wii outclass the xbox when its gpu can't even support pixel shader 1.0 and vertex shaders 1.0? and the cpu is a in order cpu when the P3/celeron inside the xbox is an out of order cpu? sorry for fanboys but xbox1 is way more powerful the wii is all for the control
@1mACann0n Actually it doesn't the aiming controls are much slower and the refresh rate on the Wii motion plus is actually faster. That's why even with move and that 100 dollar add on, it never won any motion award games like the Wii did. I own both systems so I don't need to sugar coat anything, just the truth and what I see and experience. Simple as that. No more no less.
