This is mad cool. Looks great on my BIG screen. The meeting of true Kings of Africa. Who needs space aliens when you have Elephants in Africa.❤

Mad cool, indeed! Most of the ellies, shown here, are cows, matriarch/mothers/allomothers (Queens of Africa), and their calves which cah be quickly identified by their comparatively sharp-angled foreheads, whereas the bulls' foreheads are more rounded. The bulls are chased away from their natal herd, at about age 12-13, by the cows. The stand-off, here, is between a smaller grey cow, who ultimately prevailed over the larger brown bull ftom the larger herd..

That sounds great, I will try and get some more shots with better sound, so I hope you have surround sound to go with that big screen!

Great info thank you, it makes watching these beauties so much more engaging. The nice thing with elephants is they always do things with purpose.

Nice shots, and I really appreciate that you speak low so as not to disturb or scare the elephants. Thank you !

Excellent video with elephant interactions; I’ve seen just about everything out there like this and all the professional videos and this one is by far the best; showing a long playful standoff between two young males; excellent quality too with picture stability.

I see the 2-3 elephants wrestling with each other as sub-adult bulls, who have been probably just leaving their birth herd.🍀💙🐘🐘💙🍀 The matriarch watched their wrestling closely and disciplined them.

Beautiful to see them in a herd and with access to water, an awful barren looking landscape. They obviously are forced on long journeys for both food and water. They are survivors, they have come this far - hopefully they will continue on and perhaps one day regain greater access to their former foraging ranges as the modern world struggles to end starvation and rebalance the world's insatiable appetite for the Petro chemical energy drink and for the abysmal paranoia of having access to huge deposits of uranium. May the human family find away through without the old ways of murder, exploitation, and domination.

A female of the first herd has a broken ear that hangs down.
