Rika is one of the most badass characters in anime. Hanyuu says that she has lived through a hundred years of the repeating timeline. Assuming each timeline lasted 2 weeks, that's 2,600 timelines. And in each one she watched her friends and everyone else either murder each other or otherwise die in horrible ways. Yet despite all of that, she manages to keep a warm and friendly demeanor.

Repeating timelines are not necessarily the same length. Based on what we've seen in the anime (still reading the VN), Rika originally restarts a few years earlier, when her parents are still alive and when the other detective dude is still there. This needs to have happened for at least a few years for Rika to develop that calm exterior that detective dude sees her with. It's worth noting that this demeanour is something that she develops as a result of the repeats, not something she developed when she still lived within the bounds of the mortal realm. Her character in Rei is evidence of this. It's also far closer to 1,000 years than 100 years that she spends repeating in different worlds. What is perhaps more devastating to realise is that none of her friends are the same people, ever. They are similar, but they are definitively different every time Rika jumps fragments. Once they _expire_, they never come back. Perhaps it's easier to view all of these versions of Keiichi as different 'states' that he has the 'potential' to develop into, but that's inflating the truth a little. Fragments are distinctly different from each other, in that, regardless of how little time Rika 'jumps back', there is always at least one event months or years away that has occurred differently. Rei is once again evidence of this, but this is also clear because Keiichi sometimes moves to Hinamizawa and sometimes doesn't, regardless of what Rika does. Rika doesn't 'jump back in time', as much as she jumps to an alternate world where _something_ is fundamentally different. So, the friends that Rika watches die and turn into murderers aren't even the same existences as her original friends. Even if she repeats the same exact moves as she did in the past world, from the same point, only _some_ events remain *certain*, and she will never reclaim the friends that she has lost. If you were freaked out about the world in Rei, just keep in mind that it's the same thing for every fragment Rika jumps to. She is _always_ alone. In an existence like that, it's hard not to feel disconnected.
I never listened to this from fear that the songwriters would make her do the "kid" voice of Rika all the time, but no, they got it right! Rika's "adult" voice is just freaking awesome and simply the most dramatic anything in the history of ever. She could ask you to pass the salt and it'd sound like an event of epic, world-shattering proportions...
I understood it as Bernkastel being originated from Rika as kinda had triumphed in her story by creating a Miracle, thus Bernkastel is kinda something that was formed from Rika at that point, a separate metaphysical being which will also be incorpored as one of the many main characters that serves as Featherine's cat guards or overlords, this as Bern claims that each overlord was originally a main character of a tale who fought for his own world.
I just can't help but to imagine if someone from the umineko series somehow winded up I'm Hinamizawa. Or vise versa. What if like to see is an arc that does just that.

I'd say the four dislikes are Miyo, Okonogi, Teppei and Nomura.. Especially after they were represented as the villains in Kira 2.. but regardless, those four were always villains in the original show.. People just tend to forget Nomura for some reason. :s

It's more likely that it would be Houjou Teppei (a.k.a. Satoko's uncle) because for a perfect world where none of hinamizawa dies, Satoko, who is her best friend, should also be free from her uncle's abuse. It's the true topic of the Minagoroshi-hen chapter. Also, there's no such motives for Oishi to be a villain against Rika o.o

(Watch Umineko no naku koro ni, which is the 3th season, and Lambdadelta kinda hints that she and Bernkastel had a "game" (Battle) similar to the one happening in Umineko. Anyone with a brain can tell that it was the battle in Higurashi where Rika fought with Takano.) Google the the 2 witches, they even LOOK like Rika and Takano.
