Very informative. I am a surveyor who is studying about saw cuts to improve at what I do. Thanks for posting.
Nice job! I think symetrically as well. It HAS to look right or it'll bug me every time I look at it! Great work! God bless!
Thank you!
Thank you for this video 👍🏽
Thanks for watching
Tá ficando incrível ! Parabéns
Thank you!
Enjoyed the show
Thanks for watching!
Awesome video
I was looking for the video you referenced where you poured the small slab yourself and I cannot find it for the life of me lol
Glad your concrete is done. Watch those areas where erosion can wear!
Yes!
Can we cut control joints into concrete 1 week after pouring concrete? How deep should the cuts be for a concrete slab?
Good morning from SE Louisiana 18 Mar 21.
Good morning!
Polymeric dude
What is the difference Densifier and Sealer ?
Another informative video. How is the drywall/mold problem coming along?
We'll be doing another video soon, but we are sharing bits and pieces over on our Instagram account: instagram.com/marshallremodel/
the sidewalk seems redundant without railings on the porch
Thanks for the video mate. The concreter I hired hasn't put any foam between the concrete and my house walls and the other end of the concrete is touching the retaining walls. Would you be able to advise please as to how to fix that or if that would be a problem at all?
Great video. We built a new house two years ago. They saw cut the basement floor. I could be wrong, but it appears one of the saw cuts has gotten wider. Is that possible from shrinkage?
What kind of rock do you use sub slab? to you use different sizes and build it up i.e. 1/2 inch then Crush and Run or do you use all the same size?
At least 4" of 1/2" - 3/4" rock for the pad. I then use finer rock to level out before putting down the insulation.
What are your thoughts on rebar vs. fiber reinforced? I’m sure rebar is cheaper, but is the alternative easier? Better? Worse?
Keep up the great work!
Fiber does not replace rebar. Fiber helps control crazing cracks from shrinkage stresses during concrete curing. It doesn't add any strength to the concrete. Rebar increases resistance to fracture by converting lateral loads to compressive loads as well as helping reducing distraction WHEN the concrete cracks. If a concrete contractor suggests using fiber instead of rebar, DO NOT hire them. They know nothing about concrete.
How deep do u go with the saw blade
Did you use concrete joint filler on the cuts in the house too?
We haven't filled in the cuts in the house yet... that's coming soon!
Is sandy soil a good base?
You mention that homeowners need to put dirt at the edge of the concrete. When I saw your work I wondered why you don’t put a downturn at the edge of the concrete. I use a 10” downturn, another words the edge of my concrete work is formed with a 10” concrete board and I dig 10” back so you end up with a very custom job. Your doing the minimum. I can see the gravel under the concrete.
nice pad
Thanks!
What is the time frame I can make relief cuts after pour.
Usually next day
@@MrPostFrame Thanks for the quick reply, I read if it isn't done within 24 hours then don't do it at all because it could make things worse. Is this true?
First!😎💯👍
Congrats!
