I would suggest covering the soil surface with the Parafilm during the leaching period. Otherwise, the evaporation of the surface soil layer will cause a large error in the later WHC calculation.

Second the random method of pouring the water in the first experiment can introduce inaccurate results. For example, at the first round you poured an excessive amount in the second sample. This caused excessive run off.
