Used this one for years now , love it. used it down to -6, I just chuck a 4 season bag over me like a blanket then, toasty.

Thanks for this, I've been looking at getting an underblanket for when I use my hammock for something more than a seat so it was great to see how it's set up.

The DD under blanket is epic
Just about to order this. I've got the DD version atm but i was abit chilly last time so instead of an expensive sleeping bag I'll upgrade the underquilt 👍
My underblanket is a bit simpler because its stitched into shape. Just one loop of cord each end that I attach with a small carabiner, slightly higher than the point the hammock attaches. Regards JB.

Just wondering is there a full setup that you like... A full setup hammock under quilt and top quilt that all go well together and tarp.... I been using the free soldier and think it's time for a bigger tarp and a bit more options... The free soldier tarp and hammock are great I just want a winter setup that don't cost a arm and a leg ..... Big fan let me no if you have any ideas

I thinks that you can tie your blanket to the ridgeline on one side.. For wind protection? Just a though...

Ive just started Hammock camping this summer, not needed an underblanket yet, but this looks like it should do the job, what the coldest you have slept with this?
As normal and entertaining and informative video. I have a question about your OEX hammock. I have watched the video back several times and in the video it sounds like it is tearing can you tell me your thoughts on this hammock. As I have tried a second one which has also torn so badly it dropped me on the floor bruising my back pelvis. Even on GO Outdoors it's own website there is 9 people had the same problem. And I only weigh 68 kilos the hammock takes 100 kilos.
Mate keep away from the oex hammock ,my one is great but many other are having problems

I have both Mick. I prefer my DD as it clips to the side of on hammock as well as bungees either end. I think it’s warmer as it stays in place perfectly. Having said that. The extra webbing loops on the snugpak are for connecting to the sides of a hammock (if your hammock has the option for this) but my snug pack blanket doesn’t have those loops. It is old.
