your upload was right on my birthday today. Go FORD
Yea boy......ABARTH🦂🦂🦂
Pro tip on the Fiesta, don’t use Cobb for too long. Dizzy and JST are really good tuners that have lasted a good amount of time with no problems.
Love to c Jacobs st vs the new st
@@tylermelton2467 Yup. The Cobb canned tunes are nowhere near as quick as a custom tune. I used Tunewerks, and I'm real happy with the power. With an intake and an intercooler, I went with a very safe, conservative tune. There's more on the table if I want it, but it feels great right there in real world driving. The Cobb tune doesn't come close.
Whoever is still giving some love to the Abarth in 2021 is ok in my book.
Here I am in 2024 loving the crap out of my 2013 ABARTH 500 couldn’t ask for a cooler car
Better than a boring fiat, I know it is a fiat but its mote exciting
@@killiancloyd9944how’s the reliability been bro? I have a 2013 as well. lol never redlined it but the most I went up just pass 4k rpm’s and that’s it. Just a couple times lol
THANK YOU Yuri for putting in a valved exhaust - my neighbor has an Abarth and it's woken me up so many times. Jakub - be cautious with the idea of selling the Fiesta. Everyone I know who has gotten rid of theirs regretted it. There are very few no-bullshit hot hatches any more.
I regretted selling mine with recaros in 2016, was able to find a 2017 but very few had it spec'd with the recaros. Get the whoosh HT and you will be grinning ear to ear!
Show your neighbour this video
Sold my 2018 and while I did move to an S2000, I constantly miss the the FiST and wish I had the room to have kept it, especially for how affordable it was. But as a daily its a little rough--that interior is.....not great.
thats why i own a mini jcw lol. its faster, sounds better, and way more comfy hahaa
@@cleysoptique8749 they are horribly unreliable cars those shyte Minis
If ya'll get to do this again, it would great to see ya'll working with other channels, like Speed Academy or Savage Gueese, that are really chill and know their stuff. Especially SA. I'd love that, they're keeping educational stuff alive on youtube IMO
We've done a bunch with both channels. Great guys
@@TheStraightPipes That's exactly why! You guys are all really great!
@footballcoreano if it’s a classic 500 I can see that but not a modern 500 too many cheap sensors and stuff
So glad this was uploaded on my day off work, made my day even better seeing this notification 🔥🔥
Enjoy your day off work!
@@TheStraightPipes I did, thank you, hope you guys are doing well too
Wow! You guys have really come a long way and have always delivered solid content. Been a subscriber from the Lexus IS and Honda Element era and I'm glad to see where y'all are now. Cheers to bigger things get to come 🥂
Thanks for sticking with us for so long!!
Guys this is my favorite series from you. Something about the 500 Abarth makes me favor it, so I’m looking forward to periodic updates on it.
The guy who installed the exhaust on that Fiat is just a bit crazy, lol.
Stock exhaust, they come straight piped lol
Haha he always is... His signature kinda "yooo(ho)ooooooo, nastyyy modeeee"
@footballcoreano It's a very reliable, I have 118,000 on my 500 ABARTH and bought it new 8years ago. She has been to Canada to West Texas and I still love the car as much as day one!
I had a 2013 Abarth for just one year, only modification was lowering springs. The car was a joy to drive and was 100% reliable.
I now own a Fiesta ST which I just bought and had it towed home. It has a clutch issue which I will address over the winter. My plan is to improve the suspension, chasis braces, engine mounts, brakes and new upgraded radiator.
Looking forward to driving the FiST in the spring with all the new mods.
The previous owner must have beat up on that FiST. They are known for being surprisingly reliable for what they are. I hope it gets the love it deserves though
@@trentdd15 I think youre correct. I have one and it has 55k miles and I bought it when it has 6k miles. besides the interior of the drivers door quite literally haven fallen apart, it has been sturdy as a rock. It's now my 16 y/o daughters car and she learned to drive manual on it and despite her hiccups, it still works as it always has.
@@shawnjohnson21 I'm pretty avid on the ST Forums. My ST is sitting around 75k and she's had no troubles. I run through tires like it's no one's business and I've never taken it for the head gasket recall yet. But she still runs perfect. Never had to take it in for anything. It has the annoying Ford issue with the A/C gasket clicking and the previous owner wore down the clutch a decent bit but that's it's issues really.
fiesta st owner here, make sure you upgrade the intercooler before the summer because these cars suck without better onrs
@@trentdd15 Yup. I have done the replacement of the blend door actuator (AC Click thing). The drivers side door switches fell into the door and when I removed the panel, the large 45 degree handle's mounts crumbled. And you cant just replace that piece, so I had to buy a new door card. Besides that its been excellent. I run the Pirelli P Zero Nero GT on Konig 17x8 Hypergrams (first set Konig shipped since I was working with them to get wheels for the FiST platform). Those tires last me about 25k miles which is near three years.
I love how much care and quality you guys put into your videos. Absolutely amazing. Keep it up!!
🥰
Excited to hear you're keeping the Abarth 500! Can't wait to see more on it! 🎉 I installed the Eurocompulsion 1446+ Turbo & Phase 3 tune recently on my Abarth 124 Spider and loving it!
I couldn't wait for this episode, you guys are the best! I love Abarths even tho i havn't even driven one, but i want to get one in the future. Greetings from Poland!
this was fun to watch, thank you jacob and yuri. Cool drone shots as well!
The drone footage in this video was amazing! I also liked the super laid back vibe of the whole thing, just two dudes having fun at the track.
That’s the whole channel! 2 dudes 1 fun
Amazing drone footage, shout out to the drone pilot! The amount of work ya'll have put into both cars is staggering, Jacob, keep that Fiesta, I'd really love to see those cars at their ultimates & please don't stop such content. We as your fans really appreciate it! South Africa says, "We see you."
yeah, they did a nice job 👌
A nice hybrid turbo on the Fiesta was probably my favorite mod I ever had on mine. 155k miles in 5 years with very minimal issues. I miss it everyday lol.
Even on stock turbo with a tune i would shift at 5500 since there isn't much after that. Trust me!
Also, that fiesta needs a protune! Much better than the Cobb OTS tune
I got a Focus ST that's pulling just a little higher numbers than the Fiesta ST in this video, and I absolutely love it. Like he said, they're great all around cars, and have enough power to keep you satisfied. I like videos like this! Much more relatable to us! :P
FoST gang rise
FiST Gang!!
Much love to the FoST Gang too!!!!
I respect it, I have a friend that had a built ST that blew its motor, but he did stupid stuff with it.
I have a FiST as well. It is the slowest car I have ever owned (Current Garage is M2Comp, Focus RS and then our family hauler Grand Cherokee), BUT it is my favorite car for driving I have ever owned. You can use the whole thing in a daily setting and still be respectful of speed limits and still get nearly 30mpg. Downside, is it is now it is my 16 y/o daughters primary car so dont get to use it as much. I say keep it since they are fun and easy and cheap to maintain and use.
Same. I have an 08 C6 Z06 with HCI/nitrous that runs 9s @ 140+mph on motor, 87 c10 with an HCI/nitrous 6.0/4l80, 02 WS6 with 6.0/procharger and I love my little Fiesta ST so much even if it's slow af with full bolt-ons, s280 turbo. It's literally a go-cart in the mountains.
Awesome video! Like the drone footage and background music classes it up :)
Ha! Victory!
But both cars look fun, great job guys!
Thanks for the support and awesome parts! 🤝
The drone shots were so sick! The Toronto Park is also a lovely track! I could only dream of taking my Focus ST out on it, would be a riot.
Picked up some VC7s for this winter thanks to you guys always shoving it down our throat last year. +1
Haha you're gonna love them
Haha! I was waiting for this!
I’m ready for stage 4!
Good Stuff Guys!👊🏻
Drop a whoosh hybrid turbo and a thermal RD exhaust on the FiST. Youll love it
Second the HT, will be a diff beast, put truck length on the Abarth.
Yeah, they're talking about $6k in parts for the fiat with a bigger turbo and then the fiesta is just a basic cobb kit. For $6k they could definitely have the fiesta putting down 300whp and handling better than the fiat.
@@anthonyantoine9232 Def not apple to apples by any means, 3-3.5K for HT setup, truck length on the Abarth.
I have this exact FiST with the larger turbo, intercooler, full exhaust, intake and more and it's a beast at nearly 300hp. It's a super fun go cart. I've had muscle cars and a e36 bmw m3 and this is my favorite car.
Awesome series. It’s great to have some real world data to gauge improvements in 1/4 mile and lap times. Bravo to you both and all the sponsors!
👍👍
I'm very happy to hear that you are keeping your ABARTH Yuri, I love mine 8years and counting and well over 100K miles of smiles ;-)
Great video! Amazing drone work too!
The drone footage was top tier👍
10:01 “… apparently Italian cars aren’t as reliable … apparently people say that and here were are …”
Apparently YOU say that. Let me quote:
8:23 “… I did get a check engine light for some boost errors …”
10:09 “… we also need to replace the transmission …”
Great video guys but I gotta go with Jakub and the Fiesta as the winner and better car. But the Abarth did sound better.
🤝
The exhaust does, and probably always will sound better on the Arbarth.....but the repair bill never will.
@@nightmaster6381 what bill? Abarth's are reliable even when tuned, name a 1.4 that can do that... ah yes there's none..
@@simaothekid I definitely cant name any 1.4 engines period. But all engines need repairs at some point, and imports generally cost more even if you order the parts and do it yourself.
Don't feel like you have to keep the Fiesta. Would be cool if you somehow gave viewers first dibs at it though.
Omg miss my Abarth! That little car has monster attitude that made every drive even commuting fun. Just a few mods and it’s a riot. It opened my eyes to appeal of hot hatches and that fwd can be a fun driving experience.
I've owned both a Fiat Abarth and Focus ST. They were insanely fun cars, obviously enjoyed the ST more since it had more power, but they both put a smile on my face. I'm very interested in now buying a Fiesta ST as my next fun hobby vehicle.
these challenges are _so much fun._
I hate that they don't pull the same amount of views as your other vids, because I totally love these series.
I really liked this serie. Two great cars, but the sound of the 500 Abarth is just phenomenal.
I just wanna say I’m so happy for you guys. It’s been awesome watching your channel grow and seeing you two living your dreams!
Thanks so much Romanov
A lot of fun! Love COBB, envious you were able to hook up so many cool parts!
Need an updated track day with the Abarth!!
Im was so excited when i seen the notification. For the next series challenge you guys should do 20k german sedans. That would be epic!!
Very good production. Drone footage really shows the racing line you guys are taking. Chris Harris watch out, the Canadians are coming.
Truly an inspiration. Will be looking out for a car like these over the next few years, hopefully as used cars come to some sort of normalcy
They are slowly turning into a fully sponsored racing team and I am SO here for that!
Need NASCAR style shirts, liberties, fire suits, helmets
Great job on the video, I have been looking forward to this one. Shout out to the camera/drone operator. Fantastic shots
The drone guy did a great job. Sick footage 👍
this is my favorite car channel currently
Great drone footage!
Nice hot hatches, but these tuning upgrades are expensive. My Focus ST cost upgrades cost me around $1600 (including all parts and $400 Cobb ap and $200 tune file) and I’m on a Stratified E30 tune at basically stage 3 (FMIC, catless dp, spark plugs) and should be around 285 whp 340 wtq. But I did all of the upgrades myself, so my labor. Now I’m battling traction.
Whoever's piloting the drone at 1:06 has got madskillz
Steve!
So cool! Thank you guys for doing this series. Super entertaining
Get a protune on the Fiesta, if you have some ethanol around go e30 and you will be super impressed. I made 210whp & 303wtq on stock turbo and stock downpipe. Drop down to some smaller wheels 16 or 15 as well.
The dealership I work at has an Abarth for sale, I took it home for one day and MAN THAT THING IS FUN AS HELL! It’s hella quick, definitely considering one as a weekend car but not for a daily.
You wouldn't regret it
I love this race soo much
Start a race series where u race the cars u guys review
Boi these drone shots are insane
my Abarth's engine has been extremely reliable since the day I got it. Never any issues, and then my clutch, flywheel, input shaft bearing, and throw out bearing all crapped out at once. I don't want to see it go but selling it is my only way out of the repair costs right now. Just figured I'd share and say for anyone looking to buy one, get an inspection on it first!
Buy the parts and fix it yourself it’s really easy to get into a abarths transmission doing a transmission job is really easy and can literally be done in one weekend.
its a "fun car", never buy a old beaten one without inspection or if it doesnt have a very low millage, its just basic stuff
Before you get rid of the fiesta you should try out a custom tune as the cobb stage 3 off the shelf tune is very mild and peaks at only 22psi of boost. With a custom tune you will be reaching around 26psi and it will be be so much smoother than the cobb ots. I recommend Dizzy Tuning or Tune+.
Just purchased a white/white abarth here as well, have all the mods here including the same ec 4.1 intake, fmic plus coilovers. However I'm only on a conservative stage 2 tune with about 200 hp and 230 torque. Have a $1000 oil pan upgrade, torque struts, mid chassis brace, Alfa 4c coils and aero skid plates. This is my weekend car, had a M4 before selling for a Cayenne GTS but I needed a fun manual car.
The resale value of these things have bottomed out and now that they are discontinued in NA, these things will appreciate.
I have a white/white Abarth as well, what do you mean bottomed out tho?
Krown has some new competition.... PB Blaster has a new rust proofing system that looks amazing.
But real talk, as a Fiesta ST owner that has also had experience with the 500 Abarth, I've genuinely enjoyed this series. Well done gentlemen! 👏
But real, REAL talk - you're low key proud the FiST still beat an Arbarth w/upgraded turbo!!
It's ok, as a fellow FiST owner, I understand completely!!
Dope I own a fiat abarth. Getting ready to sell might get the fiesta st. How do you like compared to the abarth?
@@nightmaster6381 HIGH KEY
@@mike6207 FiST feels like a more substantial car. More planted in corners/undulating road surfaces, has a better top end for speed, 6-speed > 5-speed, more space for people and things, better seating position regardless of seat choice, DO NOT fuck with the base seats if you are not a large individual. If you're over 6ft and 270lbs then the base seats might be better for long distance trips, but aside from that Recaros all the way.
Hope this helps.
@@TheGavio93 thanks for the reply man!! I was 50/50 on the(newer) FIST or (2014-15) FOST but the FIST seems more fun imo. The abarth is fun but can only do so much. I’m on stage 2 with EC and it’s quick but doesn’t have that overall premium daily feel of the FIST
This was a great series to follow along with!
Can we talk about the fact that this challenge wouldn't happen if you tried to buy these same cars right now? I've been looking into used Abarths and FiSTs the past few days and wow they almost cost MSRP but 5-6 years old w/ 40k miles on the clock. This is the worst time to need a new to me vehicle
That was awesome I absolutely loved it I love the series I love when you guys do these types of videos you can tell how much fun you have both really amazing upgrades to the cars I’m just curious with all the upgrades did it affect the handling of the cars ?
Yuri keep this in your stable . It Will be a classic. Different is better . It’s not always the numbers ..but the fun factor that counts
The drone shots are great and all until they give you motion sickness. a little less next time? I love your content but this is hard to watch for some.
Keep up the good work though! I have an Abarth myself and love it!
Fun series! Thanks guys
Awesome series! Much fun. Very pleasant
stage 2 with e30 tune on the fiesta was an insane difference from stock. you can break traction on the front tires all the way through 1st and 2nd. plugs, intercooler and tune to get almost 300lbft.
I just bought a Fiesta ST and I think I'm going to go down the Cobb or Mountune rabbit hole, so this was fun to watch. My plan is to autocross the snot out of it - can't wait!
You guys ever think about a C30? I have one with just a tune, 3 inch turbo inlet, and an intake with a few more parts in the 'while I'm in there' pile... its a lot of fun, Those T5 engines are a blast!
I would like to see stage 3 on the new ecoboost ford rangers. Everyone else gets a 4wd and does an overland build. How about a sport model made to be quicker around this track?
Uhhhhh mr masaki, I highly doubt that would ever happen
Y'all got a pipes discount code for Krown 😂. Gonna get it done in the next few weeks
Awesome stuff as usual guys, peace from Newmarket 🙏🏾

Loved the update on your Abarth, and Fiesta. Will you be bringing an update on your Mustang, and Civic soon?
Yes mustang. Civic....it died. Follow on insta lol
The cars are amazing but you’ve improved your driving skills so much!!!
But those drone shots though! Love the video like always! 😁
Love your videos... been watching for a long time... here I was feeling sea sick after 3 minutes. I get that your new drone gang was having some fun, but even after that, .... the review of the aftermarket parts.... slow down with the camera please.
Would love to see a collab with EverydayDriver and Savagegeese combo. I’m talking a 6-person squad deep weekend road trip with each bringing their car of choice (from what they own) and swap throughout the journey. In cabin footage of the driving and experiences during the swap across various geographies/terrain. Given the personalities and the different perspectives between all 6 folks, the cars each choose to bring would likely be very different and with each person having a chance to drive the other’s cars, the content, commentary, perspective, appreciation, and experience would be authentic, genuine, and very rich! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Jacob, get a Golf GTI. So much available for aftermarket to be able to build that car to whatever you wish. The VW A888 2.0T motor can be built to make some serious power.
Drone shots are superb
Love Abarth, definitely miss mine haha awesome video guys
really liked this video, how was it working with the drone guys?
The best
I was torn the whole series. I’m a big Ford fan. Wife has an Edge and I have a07 Shelby and a Ranger. I also had a 2012 Abarth that was just damn fun. Get series, more please…lol
Give it some beans!
Just got back into FPV after a 5-year hiatus and that drone footage was slick. I'm flying a Diatone Roma V2 but curious what was being used here.
Follow s1w on insta. Yuri here used to fly all vortex in 2017 😍😍
Great production quality 👍👍👍
The drone footage, but wish it had a gimbal - the horizon always being at an angle or sometimes upside down was a little much for me and takes away from the video
Thank you for disabling the stupid “pops & bangs” tune. That’s the new equivalent of coal-rolling or fart pipes on civics for the over-compensators.
That is the thing with these two cars...I've owned them both and I feel in love with my Fiat. The ST was "better" but I didn't have that love for it. If I didn't have a family and need a little bigger car, I would never have sold the Abarth. No regrets selling the Fiesta ST.
FiST owner here. It's tough but if you don't love the car than I understand getting rid of it. Glad to hear Yuri is keeping the 500. I think the FiST is technically a better car but the 500 definitely hits some emotional spots. Sorry you had to let your 500 go.
wow besides the drone footage most of this was show on a cell phone? and it looked really good holy. what phone is that?
It's why I switched from android to iPhone lol
Yesss, been waiting for this.
Great Series all around. Little more driving impressing from inside the car as the end felt rushed.
When are you guys gonna review the Chevy bolt EUV?
Awesome video!! Loved this!
love that you will keep the fiat!
Guys, when is 2022 Civic Type R coming? Can't wait to watch your review!
Wow I love your modified Cars . Keep the work
I would love seeing you guys doing a roadtrip.
I had a 2015 500 Abarth. Definitely the most fun to drive car I've ever owned. Sadly it was in and out of the dealership CONSTANTLY for repairs, and i had to sell it once the warranty expired, because the first out of pocket repair was $1,600 and it just didn't make sense to pay out of pocket given the cars terrible reliability record I experienced.
Only 1600 lol lucky
@@TheStraightPipesyeaaah but after non stop repairs one after the next, I couldn't justify paying that, since I knew it would only be a matter of time before the next repair.
Ya keeping mine is a mistake it’s still broken lol
You should put a real tune with a s280 ( and e30/50 if it's available near you) on the fiesta and see if it changes your thoughts on it. Stock fuel system can flow 300whp
Those small cars on that track must have been a blast!
@The StraightPipes please make a full separate videos reviewing both the cars after phase 3. I would really like to see your reactions and what you think about the cars after the mods.
Fiesta was amazing and problem free, sold it. Fiat is always broken and it just got a new engine
@@TheStraightPipes Sad to hear that the fiat is always broken wanted to get one from my side and convert it to phase 3 :( Anyways congrats on selling the Fiesta it was an amazing beast and wishing you all the best on your new purchase!
Mountune makes a turbo swap for the Fiesta ST, that’ll put you at 280hp. Try that
Don't get me wrong, Cobb is great, but you need to try a PRO TUNE from a reputable company. I've got a 16 FiST and the difference between just Cobb Stg 1 and a pro flash tune is incredible.
