Just finished watching, absolutely amazing video! Thank you for your great insight into the camera 😁 this camera is on the top of my list for dream camera's I'd love to own. I'll definitely check out the FX9 review next!

The FX9 is heavier, and waaaaaaaay more power hungry than the FS7. Personally I might prefer the cheaper/smaller FX6 over a FX9? (the only big negative is losing out on S35 4K :-/ )

Hi Hot Lunch, I offer a correction to your statement regarding the variable electronic ND. the FS7M2 does allow use of the variable electronic ND in CINE EI mode when shooting SLOG 2 or 3. I use it frequently when alternating between 23.98 and S&Q 60 fps @4K or HD. The internal menus for Auto ND and the external switch must be turned on. I programmed one of the user function buttons for activating the internal menu Auto ND. The variable electronic ND is a must have for run and gun documentary style shooting. I recommend first reading the manual and spending time learning the internal menus of a camera before going out in the field to start shooting. Avoid the excitement and rush to run outside to start shooting only to return and discover the countless operator errors which result in bad images.

Thanks, that's useful to know. What an incredibly ridiculous limitation.

@21:05, you can get the much much cheaper Sony 18-105mm photo lens if you don't want to splurge on 18-110 cine lens, that's my plan for my new Sony FS7 as I've already got the 18-105
@25:11, as you mention the PL Mount is the industry standard for films, so it is great to see this feature filtering down to low budget cameras like the FS7mk2, now you don't have to worry about the possibly damaging your lens mount if you're using a bit heavier lens (also don't need to worry about issues if using with follow focus motors).

Your 'jerky zooms' are most likely 'operator error' ie: lack of practice. I use exactly the same setup and the proportional, zoom rocker on the FS7 is state of the art when coupled with the 18-110mm servo zoom. These cameras are now as cheap as chips second hand so there's simply no reason to use DSLRs any more for video.

Is there a hard reset/factory reset for the Sony FS7M2? Paid to have the camera repaired and verbal ND and speed booster in whatever doctor I have in front of it is no longer working. The Iris stays where it wants to stay and I want to do a hard reset.

Are CFexpress type B cards compatible with the FA7m1?!

Hey mate! thanks for the review! What you could do about the zoom lens
is to tight on the rod with 19mm support base plate, it would give you a little more weight but
better to be safer than sorry!!
