I strugle a little to find motivation to do art, even being something that i love. The pressure to do something "important" is too big. Trying to find balance is very needed these days.
Congrats on your anniversary of one year. I am still trying to get brave and do a channel with my art journey and I am 67 years old. Lol I completely agree about the ups and downs of our pieces and it can be so frustrating but like you said don’t stop just continue on because even in the mistakes we learn so much. I enjoy watching your process and thank you for sharing all of it and not just the successes that come. Lord bless.
Great job on the face Especially the chin! Love the contrast Brushstrokes Looks open and light Also thanks for the content on website! You’re inspiring!
Beautiful work. I think I am favoring oil paintings lately 🤔. Loved the homemade decorations. Very creative! Thanks again for providing this very pleasant content.
I've been watching your videos for the past 5 months and it is really helped me in my art journey ; and also I've been thinking about posting art videos in RUclips from two years and you encouraged me to do this soon 😻. Thank you and keep doing awesome arts
Ashleigh your videos calm me down and get me up and sketching every time. It's been great watching you for an entire year, can't wait to see more of your journey! 💕
Lovely decorations and good painting ashleigh, the final touch with the black gives another tone to your work. Thanks for your peaceful relaxing videos 😊
your videos are sooo calming and your voice is also so relaxing :)) I'm 16 yo and I do also paint and draw and your advices you give are so helpful, thank you soo much :DD Greetings from Poland 🤎
Yes, the illusion of "linear progress" is a trap I know all to well. In my case, it led to setting these ridiculous deadlines for learning a certain discipline or skill. "If I take a week to master such-and-such, then by the end of the month I'll have mastered so-and-so." Then when it didn't work out the way I planned (because that's not the way it works), I got discouraged, and angry at myself, would quit. Now, I try not to set those sell-imposed limitations, and just try and concentrate on keeping learning an act not a goal. Does that make sense? Has it ONLY been a year? Your videos make it feel as if your an old, valued friend I've been hanging with forever, just giving me little bits of philosophy, pointers, and kind words. 🔥HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!🔥
I definitely went through that same problem. I think concentrating on learning a process or act is a great idea! I’ll have to try that out too 😊 Thanks so much!! It’s always great to see your comment and hear your thoughts!
I never miss watching your videos... Your voice is so calming and relaxing especially I like your art studio .I love it when you draw with your left hand it inspires me.Lots of love from Pakistan..🙇😊🤗
I really enjoy your videos! Thank-you! When I’m painting figures whether from life or a photo, I find it helpful to use my brush to determine the angle of each area of the body. I’m always amazed at how helpful this can be. If I’m using a photo , I would hold the brush on the same angle as a section of the arm for example. I would then move the brush to my painting as see if I’m using the same angle. I hope you understand what I mean and maybe you will find it helpful. Looking forward to your next video!❤
I can't believe it's been a year already! Me and my sis loves your channel, it's always so inspiring and calming to watch your videos we love it. your artwork is really beautiful in many ways and it's soo good to see you improving every day! happy one year and it's been a pleasure to share this journey with you
Your artworks and art vlog are all always beautiful and attractive! And inspiring me too! So I think that good artwork needs good motive and enjoyment of the process. ✨💖
It is very important to decide what you want to achieve with this painting. Because it's all a learning process. If you want a good and correct drawing of a human figure, I advise you to strive to be more anatomically true. And of course try to balance and draw more from life. I wish you the best, love your videos ❤️
thanks for sharing your stunning journey too much positive energy>>please tell us about if art for art will remain for art and not for sale can we still enjoy it? thanks
Hello dear Ashleigh! Thank you for the video. I was pleased to watch it and read the translation into Russian. You supported me. I am a composer, I am 57 years old, I live in Russia. Since childhood, she loved to draw, but she only started doing it two years ago. I wish you and your family love, happiness, health and success. Sincerely, Natalia Kholmogorova. City of Tchaikovsky.🌎❤️🌼🌸💮🙏💫
I love your beautiful painting and I also love that the amazing messages you have for painting are also very helpful in life. Happy Monday and have an amazing day and week. ೃ❤⁀➷: ̗̀ ❤ˎˊ:
An Artist's progress is in-between finished pieces. The artist must be able to see a progress transitioning, however one must also realize a change internally.., going back is not an option, thus knowing how to let go is key to not wasting time and energy... Thanks.
I hope that the day will come soon when I will be able to make videos like this on my own channel Now my psychological state does not allow me to do that and God willing I will make this day myself
You struggled with that last painting because you used a bad reference picture, it has very little contrast, hard to make something look good when everything has the same value.

You are from which country?
its cliché advice, but its true. you cant improve without messing up
