I picked up the iFootage monopod and was blown away by how strong and easy to use the red leg clamps were! I like them so much I’m planning on picking up one of these tripods.

The built in levelling ball head is such a genius addition. And that definitely seems to be the easiest and quickest design I've ever seen for inverting the centre column, which is something I've never done with past tripods, because it's just too much hassle. For my needs, I think I like the TC7 the best, for its pure simplicity. Set-up time with that beast would be a dream!

A few days ago RUclips recommended me a lot of your older videos, so going back to watching this level of quality shows me how much dedication you have put into it! I think I'd prefer to go with the TC5, because a compact tripod would suit me really well for the travel videos I've been making lately!

I like the Fastbowl. I shoot a lot of Milky Way astrophotography, both panos and tracked, and love the ease of leveling the Fastbowl provides. Plus, even though I’m 6’3” I never use the center column on any of my tripods - I have to have that stability. Great video. Thanks!

Oh man! They are all nice, BUT that TC-7 is *Very Nice* !! I love the fast bowl design, makes leveling so easy and getting low to the ground convenient.
    Thanks for this opportunity, Gerald.

Man, the faces at the end got a giggle. As always, really stellar factual review Gerald! I personally sit on your line, I like the more versatile TC6. The speed of the TC7 might be neat, but I'm far from the level of filmographer to need or use it. The TC5's travel compacted size is great, but I have more than a few things I regular shoot which are taller - so that versatility and height is just the overall winner - have to say I'd want to rock a TC6. Keep up the awesome work!

Gerald snaps his fingers and creates the most thorough reviews/overviews in the camera space. This company doesn't get the recognition it deserves. To me, that center column wing nut contraption is very innovative. These should get just as much press as the new Peak Design tripods. I myself would love the TC5! Been saving for a travel tripod as I just broke my last one cause it was a cheap ebay one :( Thanks for the videos Gerald.. you crazy.

Reviews often focus on one model and it is clear someone has bought that and therefore, could well be a little biased!
The ultimate review that we the viewers need, is to be able to see a range of models side-by-side, with measurements and the pros and cons described clearly and without bias.
This is that review. All fitted neatly into 10 mins. They will sell more from this demo than any advert they will ever make. Thanks for posting.

I ended up ordering it directly from iFootage it came directly from China fairly quickly in about 3 days. I love my C180 monopod Thank you for the great recommendation !! As far as the tripod I would get the TC7 for the simplicity and quick setup.

The TC5 does seem the best option for size, weight capacity and max working height. I really like the addition of being able to take the centre column off which is useful and the hook that seems very sturdy is another added bonus! The soft close and extend of the legs is a great feature. Love the videos, great detail and as always delivery.

Love that you made a video about these tripods because I've been researching them for the past month ever since you released your monopod review about them. The TC7 Fastbowl looks the most useful for my situation because I currently have the Manfrotto befree tripod and I feel so amateur when going to a gig with this lightweight tripod when the other shooters have their big and heavy legs. I was shooting b-cam for an interview video with my friend and I felt like I was making him look bad by having my setup next to his rig. I've also shot some sports videos and have had the tripod move and kicked out of place for being so light. Anyways, thanks for the awesome video and look forward to many more!

Awesome products. As a real estate photographer, the TC6 looks about perfect. That leveling feature on the end of an adjustable center column, as you pointed out, would keep me from having to adjust the individual leg height so often, which = time saved. Yes please!

The shorter length of the TC5 when collapsed makes it my choice of the three. Thanks for your comments about the hook on the center pole. I shoot quite often on the Oregon coast where the wind can really rip and being able to hang my backpack from the hook would really help stabilize shots.

love the tc-6 and the fact you go through the underslung mode as not many reviewers of this tripod maker do!, I own a surui and a gitzo, both have this ability, so great to see this still has it, and to be able to take the column off, Pity there isn't another 'nut' to lock the short plate into the spider, then you could use it for MF or LF cameras, as in these, the column can act as a wind catcher too, giving vibrations to the camera, esp. if it is not a heavy rig. ( my gitzo can, as the hook screw attaches to the plate bolt directly, so it locks the head to the spider)- great for windy locations, where stability can be optimised.

Very informative and practical review. Thanks for that. In a time where travelling is easier than ever, but airlines are not making our lives easier when bringing our gear, I see myself trying to reduce the size and weight of my equipment. At the same time, I don't want to risk not bringing that piece of gear that I might need, especially when it comes to tripods. For that reason, the TC5 is my favorite because I can have a sturdy and versatile tripod with minimum weight with me.

Personally the Tc7 for me is the most logical tripod of the 3. The bowls and leveling mechanism is extremely beneficial as it allows for higher accuracy when leveling(decreasing cropping in post), the high payload capacity is also a must have to support my current full frame nikon accompanied with some of my heavier glass, and finally the tall height achievable without a center column allows for even more stability ensuring 0 shake when taking long exposures using my telephoto lenses. Thanks so much for the opportunity to win as it I just currently upgraded to the nikon fullframe world and having noticeable trouble with my current tripod supporting it. Amazing review

Both the TC5 and TC6 seem great. I own a Manfrotto 055XPROB, which has a center column that can turn horizontal when needed, but it struggles when getting close to the ground, getting in the way of the tripod head for any kind of movement. So... I can appreciate the detachable colum and the hook on these two.

First, as always awesome video! Easy to understand, quick and useful.
ABOUT the tripod, if I'd have to pick one up, Definitely the TC6 ! I already have a travel tripod and I need something a bit bigger and stronger, and the possibility to put the center column upside down is so cool for product photography and food photography. No need to bring multiple light-stand and pols at the client's place, just this tripod, a nice window with natural light and BIM an over head shot!
    Finger crossed !

Oooohhh!!! definitely the TC7. The stability at height due to it not having the centre column plus the ability to drop very low without janky conversion definitely wins. Would love one of these to replace my now 10-year-old main legs.

They all look solid and I would honestly be happy investing in any of the 3...but since you're making me choose...TC5 since I'm predominantly a hybrid shooter and would benefit most from its small form factor. Thanks for the thorough overview as always Gerald!!!

Super helpful review! The TC7 would be my choice because of the max height that can be achieved without a center column

The TC6 would be the best for me so I can timelapse, level the head, and still use the 3/8 mounting hole to hold an external battery. Great video.

I like the iFootage Gazelle Fastbowl TC7 Tripod as it appears to be perfect for panorama photography

TC5 definitely as I've only done travel/doc style clips. Plan to get a travel tripod as my first. 1.9kg & 21'' sounds brilliant and looks great. Also this is the first time i've seen that option to flip the central column so you can shoot closer to the ground. Interesting.

I travel solo for video projects fairly regularly and I usually settle for a flimsy, unreliable travel tripod because my main tripod won’t fit in a carry-on bag so that TC5 is looking mighty tempting. Another great video, sir. 👊🏻

Another informative video, For me TC5 is the best since it is sturdy and stable because you can put weights on its center column, at it is also compact when its not collapse, makes suitable for a traveller like me.

I love the quality and thoughtfulness. TC6 seems the best combination of features by a hair over the TC5 ... for me, anyway. However, for anyone who has serious space problems, the TC5 edges out the TC6. Please let me win and send me a TC6 !!! Also, I clicked the thumbs up button 101 times.
