Land based Shark fishing in South Africa. Bronze Whaler sharks in July! What is going on?

- Once again we took advantage of the abundance of sharks in the water! the edible species are absent so we are targeting the bronze whalers. it is very unlikely for the bronze whalers to be around this time of the year! What is going on? why are they here? but hey, let's catch them!

Nice fights by all of you and beautiful fish landed. The drone footage is great and to see all the sharks, whales and dolphins is absolutely wonderful. We are blessed with beautiful coastlines.

Me and my dad were fishing at that strandfontein rockpool and my dad hooked a bronzie while fishing for geljoen it picked it up and ran with it but snapped it off it was 13 kg line

hope to land a bronzie myself soon. hooked into one b4 and omg it was hard work haha so much different compared to landing the soupfin sharks (we call them school sharks in nz) that was a good size male bronzie u first landed. the drone footage of the wildlife was amazing. even in winter, the sea round the beach is full of life

I target mulloway (Kob) from our local beaches in NSW Australia. Three weeks ago (June 2022) I had a mulloway session where every single cast was taken within moments by juvenile bronzies around 90cm - 1m long. Best fishing session of my entire life, and went on for 90 minutes until my 20 year old graphite surf rod shattered while fighting a shark. Warrior's death for the rod, and still landed & released the mini-bronzie. No idea why that school of little bronzies were there in June. Interesting you are getting big bronzies off the beach in SA in July. That beach looked like a great surfing spot until you put the drone up . . . Cheers, Gavin

Great video. It's sad to see fish habits changing even there diets. Is this because of global warming and water pollution. I live in Cape Town and we still waiting on winter we have had more SE winds and the cob haven't left us
