Salam wa alakyam means “Peace be upon you”. Its used as greeting or to say “hello or hi”. Sometimes a wa rahmt Allah wa barikatuh meaning “God’s mercy and blessings” is added to Salam wa alakyam which is “peace be upon you”. you can respond to it as wa alakyam Salam or wa alakyam wa rahmt Allah wa barikatuh.
Al hamid Allah means “Praise be to God”. But “All praise to Allah” or “praise belongs to God” is a good translation/meaning to it. It can also be used to say “Thank God” or “Thanks be to God”. Insha Allah means “if God wills” or “God willing”. It can used to say or in place of “Hopefully”, or to indicate positively that you intend to do something.
Allahu Akbar can used in place of al hamid allah Subhan Allah or Masha Allah. Akbar also means “Biggest or bigger” in Arabic. We say “Greatest or greater” since that is not only one of the meanings of Akbar but bigger or biggest isn’t suitable to describe Allah. That’s cause bigger or bigger is physical but Allah is not physical.
For Masha Allah, you could add tabarak Allah. Masha Allah wa tabarak Allah “As God has wills and God is blessed”. You add alakyum or alak meaning “to you” or “for you”. Alakyum or Alak could be a filler word. Masha Allah Aleek. Masha Allah Alakyam Masha Allah wa Tabarak Allah Alakyum. Masha Allah wa Tabarak Alak. Also, Shaytan al rageem means “accursed Satan”. Shaytan also means “Devil”. Shahada means “Testimony” it also means “Certificate, Diploma, degree(college degree)”. The root is Shahid “to testify or bear witness”.
Allah is Arabic for “God”, it literally means “the god”. The root is ilaha meaning “god or diety”. Shahid is the root word of Shahada. Shahid means “to testify or bear witness”. Also, “Declaration” is a good translation for Shahada as well. Takbeer means “magnification or enlargement”. The root is Kabir “to magnify or enlarge” or Kabeer which means “Big or great”.

There are some boys in my class who like to say Allahu Akbar and it annoys me sooo much and i wish they would stop but I can’t do anything to stop it I can’t say anything to them or tell anyone because no one else is Muslim in my school 😞 and I’m sure they would stop if they knew I was Muslim but my mom does not want anyone to know for fear I’m going to get bullied. As you grow older your intimate relationship with God will become a treasure and (inshallah) you will meet a partner who is developing the same priorities. Until then it is important not to let people around you have an impact on you. Your faith is still just starting and can be very much like a young plant that needs care and protection. Its always good to find an age mate who can have your back (and vice versa) so you need not handle all of this by yourself. Focus on being the best servant of God you can be and try not to let what's going on around touch you too deeply. God knows your heart, sweetheart.
