Liked the video. Boat Insurance rates are through the roof in Florida, what’s it like there? Everyone would like to know costs per month…? I know it is highly variable…..love the dog.
Hi Tom and Andrea. Truly appreciate this segment and the sincere redundancy on important aspects of live-aboard life. This is something I am contemplating since living here on the west-coast, with potential of a nomadic lifestyle while transcending into retirement. I have also been researching class A thru C motorhomes. I am an experienced camper, but not experienced with boat living. However, I like that a live-aboard boat seemingly offers more creature comfort, entertainment purpose and privacy potential than a motorhome. Both have their pros and cons. But I appreciate the detail offered from your experience.
Hey Tony, thanks for the kind words… We were RVers before ever owning a boat not that we lived on an RV but we enjoyed camping with the kids while they were growing up. Believe it or not, you could do both we bought a very inexpensive classA a couple years ago with low miles and fixed up the interior. The outside is nothing to be proud of but if you have the time and the determination, you can also buy a boat that might need some love and fix it up. I would say the community is awesome for both RVers and Boat owners… We just really love the ocean, so that’s why we are full-time on the water rather than on land 😊.
Great segment you two. As a liveaboard myself. I enjoyed hearing the same (I wish I had Know) facts. I'm use to them now. But its nice to know we share those same hurtles. We do all agree that the location is unbeatable. My neighbors and I all agree that the view with the sunset and a glass of wine. Can't get any better. Being single doesn't' always help. That too may change. Cheers you two. Thank you for the entertainment. And info.
I used to go down to San Diego Bay every weekend with the family... I am strongly considering live aboard down there in sunny SD! A lot of the Marinas are tight lipped about getting live aboard status. Could we connect and discuss? I know a lot of people who would just slide under the radar since the wait list is basically two decades.... Thanks! Boat on!
Lol liveaboardd 3 months , count on finding someone to fix the endless items. Maybe the window leak fixed this time or maybe not.from the San Francisco side of the country
