That rotary can get to its full potential when they extend and expand these small tracks X 4 because the car uses basically only 2 gears.
Seen a rotary super salon in NZ but the problem is all the guys pack a sad cos its so fast so it just keeps getting banned.
They pretty much dominate in South African short course racing.
It didnt get banned it got smoked by the v8s. I love rotary engines but tourqe is what you need in speedway on dirt, or a big fat turbo. Most speedway classes here wont allow turbos though.
