Considering the bottom end was derived from the pinto 3 type of block 205 which was a normal pinto block which was specially selected for cosworth the 200 block and small core plug block rs500
Watched the RS500s racing at the Donington Historic Festival a couple of weeks ago. In our group were a couple of 40-somethings, and a couple of 20-somethings. The 20-somethings expected the R32 Skylines with 2 more cylinders, 500 extra ccs, 4wd (in a damp race) and an extra turbo to make the Cosworths look stupid. Of course, the Skylines were quicker, but not by anywhere near as much as the whippersnappers expected. That Cosworth engine was, and still is an absolute powerhouse.
Other engines from Europe France: Peugeot XU10, Renault F7R Germany: Volkswagen ABF and 1.8 20v, Mercedes M102 Italy: alfa 155 twin spark turbo 2.0 16v. Fiat Twin Cam 831D5.000 Sweden: volvo red block, Saab B235R
@StovvTube because it's a ford derived block but the yb had an entirely different bottom end a dohc head low compression and a turbo kit supposedly the iron content on their blocks was better as well but I haven't seen anything credible about them being different from sto of xr4ti blocks

The YB cosworth is legendary
Ford never built these engines we all know that Cosworth built these except for you

how does this engin sound?
not bad. but not sooo good either. it sounds boring. what do you expect from a 4 cylinder turbo engine? they never sound that good.
Ford didn't produce or make the engine, Cosworth did. The titles is incorrect and in the video you also say Ford made the engine....they didn't!
Why does it say ford cosworth on the top?

Bmw 2.8 block is good
