    The Stros finally woke up after sleep-walking thru the 2 previous games. Took em 9 innings to do it but now it looks like a classic series... we shall see... bring it on!

    Umps did bad job for both teams but I don’t see why complain about that one ball that could have been called a strike or a ball, if anything the bigger issue is if you let 7 runs go through on 2 outs maybe the issue isn’t the Umps

      @@blingman78 the picture of the strike zone showed that the ball is outside of the corner which is why I said it could have went either way, when you make 2+ errors in the inning causing 7 runs in at 2 outs the problem isn’t the umps anymore, also the fact that the Red Sox had their chance to score and didn’t even score at all

      @@viveknamikaze761 Yes Charlie Morton and Lance would have been the difference this series. I'm not so certain what Verlander would have done. He May have been the beast we knew him to be over his illustrious career or he could or not. After watching the second half of the Yankees season which so happens to coincide with when the league started cracking down on sticky stuff, I have no confidence that Cole would have done anything for us.

    It started with altuves homer in the 8th. I'm telling you all once altuve leaves the astros will fall apart. Altuve is my favorite player. Been an astros fan since the 90s and there is just something altuve does for that team. Anyways that was a wild inning to watch. I had tuned in right as altuve came up to bat in the 8th and stayed till the end.

    that no call in the 9th that favored Houston is more than balanced out by the no-call check swing in the 1st that led to that 2-run homer for the Red Sox. Just saying . . . for those of you stuck in the "no-fair!" zone.

      @Kush 213 considering those were the only two runs the Reds scored the entire game, I'd say it's on par with what happened in the 9th inning. Still, the managers' pitching strategy might have changed if Astros had been up 2-0 going into the bottom of the 9th. "IF" is such a dangerous word.

    You know what winners say after a no-call strike? “Keep your head down, get him on the next one.” The Red Sox had plenty of chances to make sure that the no call pitch to Castro didn’t matter, and they didn’t capitalize on those chances.

    ill be honest, as an astros fan, that probably should have been the 3rd strike on castro, but given some of the previous calls of the game and the fact that altuve technically wasnt out in the 2nd (i think thats the inning idk) it just goes to show that anything can happen and you can never trust the umpires

      the call on Castro wasn't nearly as egregious as an earlier call on Diaz, which completely affected his entire At Bat. Absolutely no reason to give Red Sox fans this. We absolutely earned these runs. Besides, the Castro call was VERY close.

      If you are referring to 1:33 that should have been the third strike of the third out before the Astros scored one run, not all strike/ball miscalls are created equal.

      There were 23 missed balls and strikes calls in the game. 11 of them were for the astros 12 of them for the red sox. Had the missed calls been even, the game would have been tied going into the bottom of the 9th.

Somebody is going to have to show me where in an MLB.Playoff Series another team other than the Houston Astros has scored seven runs with two outs to win a playoff game! In the ninth ! It is like something you’d see in a movie.I know history nor fandom does and will not look favorably on these Astros but nothing anybody says to me will ever convince me that this Astros lineup is not the best hitting lineup in MLB. HISTORY!

    Zack had the same thing happen to him in the 1st, walked Devers when it should have been a strike. Bogaerts then hit theat 2 run homer...it was bad both ways

The bullpen locks it down and Astros win by Bregman's HR, 1-0!!! Just because the other bad call was later it seems like it was a bigger call. Just say'n, anyway Game 4 is over! Astros win 9-2, series tied 2-2. Enjoy the rest of the series! It'll be a dogfight no matter who wins

    Had the strike been called a strike the game would have been tied that’s why Red Sox pissed. However, giving up 7 runs in the ninth just because the ump missed a strike is inexcusable.

    As a pitcher I want that back door pitch. But having called games behind the plate calling that pitch a strike is extremely hard. It’s moving from outside to JUST over the edge of the plate. Not to mention he would have to call the out on that very borderline pitch.
