My favorite play of the WS was when Harper said it was his house and then lost the next 2 games in his house and only got 1 hit for the rest of the series.
So his one hit was your favorite play haha
Also I’m in Weatherford Texas . We are neighbors
Lmaoooo. Good times.
That was my favorite play also
Facts
Same
Yordan’s HR is gonna end up being one of the most iconic World Series plays of all time
Yeah…. Right
@@markflores95 must be a phillie fan
I think Chas McCormicks will end up on replay more in the future.
@@TexasGardenerd oh yeah
“Most iconic”? Maybe true in the last few years but there are other iconic plays we are quickly forgetting. Just to name one, research 1993 World Series winning HR in game 6.
Everytime I see that Alvarez HR in game 6 I get teary eyed. I knew Astros were champions at that moment.
So dramatic
Every time I watch it not even joking I get chills cuz I mean I watched him crush balls the entire season but in the postseason it just feels different
Everytime 😢
The no hitter was unbelievable cause even with multiple pitchers still rare to see done in World Series
Uh yeah since it had only happened once before this I’d say that’s pretty rare
@@Relic827 yeah first combined one in the World Series and the second one ever in World Series history
@@Xavier-jj6tx The unlikeliest of pitchers threw a perfect game-Don Larsen-way back in 1956, 66 years ago. His mound opponent that day-Sal Maglie-would have been the better candidate, especially since had no hit the Phillies two weeks earlier. Maglie himself, was perfect, retiring the first 11 Yankee batters before Mickey Mantle hit a two out home run in the bottom of the fourth for the first hit of the game, and a 1-0 New York lead. Brooklyn's Sandy Amoros hit a fly ball in the exact same right field area of Yankee Stadium, but the ball went foul. Mantle also preserved Larsen's perfect game by backhanding a line drive to left center by Gil Hodges that would have gone for a home run at Ebbets Field.
Lol Framber cheated tho ruclips.net/video/vMOHbV7Eqic/видео.html
@@kevinmiller6380 Wow, that's a history lesson. I can imagine how surreal that must have been for the fans then, just like our combined WS no-hitter was for us.
I'm telling you, that Mancini short hop saved the Astro's series. That's a guaranteed tie game, and looking at the runner heading to second on a 2 out hit? Probably a 4-3 Phillies lead headed into the 9th. McCormick's catch was great out in center in the 9th but that's a 2 run double all day.
I thought YG hurting himself on that rundown was gonna be trouble the rest of game 5 and the rest of the series, but IMMEDIATELY Mancini proved his worth on the team with his sharp focused 1st base work!!! ⚾️ 💪👷🏾
@@pablot-r9402 bro I don't think Yuli would've saved that ball cause he would've been trying to cover Segura.... I think Yuli getting hurt into epic mancini pick was just a scenario of miracle
Literally the opposite of the Bill Buckner flop.
Agreed.
@@pablot-r9402 Dude had an AWFUL postseason at the plate (1 for 21, sac fly and a single) but baseball always delivers redemption 😋
I've seen 62 World Series in my lifetime, and would have to rank this one in the Top 1 or 2.
Great series for the Astros. And how appropriate that the dude who got Yordan Alvarez's home run ball was himself wearing an Alvarez jersey.
This was the most entertaining WS I’ve watched in a long time. I must say I truly enjoyed this entire post season. I’m sad all I have left to watch are clips 😭.
Absolutely best mlb playoffs ive seen in such a long time from the 18 inning game, no hitter, and crazy comebacks! 🔥
Congratulations 👏🎉🙌🥳🎊💐🍾🥂🎇🎆 To The 2x World 🌎 Series Champion Houston Astros Well Deserved Guys.
Houston fan here: Phillies can proudly hang their hats on their entire 2022 MLB season! They really made the series worth watching in a best of the best competition that could of gone both ways, bringing the series to a dramatic 6 games! Phillies lost, but lost swinging shots back! Much love to the town of Philadelphia for really showing up, and hope they can make the post season again. Yall have big talent on that team!
Respect from a Phillies fan!
They were absolutely terrible to the Houston fans in Philadelphia. Zero respect for a fanbase that does that.
@@brendonbuffaloe8830 Sure, but nowhere compared to NYC fans. Sure, their famous eateries denied service to the Astros, but that's happened during the regular season to any away-team doing a three to five game homestand in almost any city, you just don't hear about it. Frankly, I'd always order catering anonymously if I was getting food for the away-team.
@@pablot-r9402 Most of the arrogant New York fans are just bandwagon fans who root for the popular team. Phillies have sucked for a while until recently, so that’s their real fanbase
@@brendonbuffaloe8830 yeah i like the Phillies and game one was the best baseball game I have ever watched but I hate the fans
One of the best World Series in recent memory imo
In hindsight, it will likely be tempting to think that the 'stros cruised to the title after a great season/postseason. But there were a few occasions when the Phillies made life anxious for Astros fans. Thankfully that anxiety abated a little after the no-hitter.
That McCormick and Mansini catch was dope!!! Javier was absolutely amazing in game 4! Astros fan here but this WS was so fun to watch!!! Both teams played their hearts out. Proud of the Astros🤘🏼
"Don't ever underestimate the heart of a champion!"
got that right, Clutch!
Bringing back an Olajuwon quote! I see you!
@@deltaunder1872 actually that’s a Rudy Tomjanovich quote. Go Astros!!!
@@deltaunder1872 ruclips.net/video/dTyP7I8X4UY/видео.html
Favorite never give up moment... Astros get shut out and then turn around and shut out the Phillies AND no-hit them at the same time. *BOOM*
In the Phillies' house no less.
Cool, my favorite never give up moment was the mariners 8-1 comeback vs the jays to win their first playoff game since 2001
@@Michael-uu7zq That was pretty awesome as well.
Once again Air Yordan delivers right on time - every time!
Some people say baseball is boring. They just don't get it.
No, they don't, and with people becoming dumber and dumber, and baseball's insistent greed, which prices games, even streamed, close to impossible for people of ordinary means, expect the situation only to get worse. How many guys in the NBA and NFL would have been playing MLB if this were fifty years ago? Quite a lot, I think.
Baseball is a beautiful game to those who understand it, but you can't understand something if you're never exposed to it.
That Yordan homer was absolutely unbelievable. Side note, Reggie Jackson is his personal batting coach.
Explains why he’s struggling so much right now
Both teams did absolutely awesome comin from a houston fan.
Dusty baker looks so happy when they won 🏆
All of us in Houston wanted this one for Dusty. Alot of us joke that he's wearing those Latex gloves because he's cooking BBQ for the boys in the back. We've had great coaches before but Dusty is like a father figure. Hugging all his boys and trusting them to do the job. When Alvarez hit the last HR, our watch party said Dusty is getting his ring tonight!
Yordan and Pena both deserved MVP's but there are several players who did fantastic in the postseason and came in clutch. Go Astros!!
Valdez and Pena deserved it.
Yordan has like 0 ego and I knew he would want Pena to win it rather than him, bc's pena's mvp would be historic
Yordan had like 7 total bases vs Penas 15...he struck out more. Pena had several great defensive plays that likely saved runs. Pena's hits were also crucial it seemed. Yordan's 1 home run was crucial as well, but Pena's hits overall seemed more so. Overall, not even a discussion. I'm not sure you watched the games....or know baseball, for that matter
Alvarez didn’t have a great postseason entirely. Except for three clutch homers. Peña was the man.
Maybe Framber and Pena.
Alvarez did the winning 9th inning Walkoff HR in game 1 with the Mariners and game 6 with the Phillies in the WS. In my opinion Alvarez should share MVP honors with Pena.
@@drzcalderon3921 Yes, a game in the playoffs.
Framber and pena
That no-no silenced the Phillies bats just after they hit 5 HRs in a game
Iced em good
Mattress Mack should be series MVP
I'll drink to that!
Well, he's not a player. But he gets my vote as Most Valuable Fan!
Lots of good plays, great moments. and overall awesome series. Congrats to the Astros. Got to love baseball. Was fun to watch. Great video
what a epic world 🌎 series
Yordans HR was Fatality, that ended the series and won us the WS.
Four Astros pitchers combined to no hit the Phillies in Game 4; sad thing about it is that Don Larsen, Mel Allen, Yogi Berra, and Vin Scully were no longer around to witness history.
Ya know I was thinking the exact same thing
They were watching from heaven.
Seriously? 3 replays of Harper's HR?
They wanted them to win so bad!!
Right, and Yordan's landed somewhere around Dallas
This was a very fun series to watch
Of course Harpers home run got replayed 5 times on the highlight. Dude hit 1 homer on a pitch he knew was coming.
6:16, Astros radio guy should have said, "See you later" about 6 times 😃
Mood: Over the moon, Cloud 9, Flying High Again, etc etc

We want Houston… clap clap, clap clap clapped!!!!
Pena is going to be a very rich man in the next few years!
A very rich, good-looking, likeable BACHELOR whom the young ladies are all after!!!!!!
That Yordan Homer will always make me smile.

Let’s Go Astros!!!
L❤️VED the entire WS run❗Astros 2022 Post Season was 🔥🔥🔥‼️😎
Why they gotta add this corny background music 😭
I heard someone offered the man that caught the Alvarez home run ball $100,000 for it. I think he said he was going to hold on to it for a while but damn. Talk about wining a mini lottery.

Mancini's play is 3. It saved that game. If he doesn't make that play - two runs score and the Astros are behind.
Music for this video could have been better.

Castellano's catch was more impressive than Bohm's play. He was already close to the line, as he should've been, and got a really decent hop. And as bad as Maldonado runs, he could've rolled it to first and still gotten him out. 😂😂
Poor Maldy. Dude has soooo much hustle poppin' out from behind the plate chasing pop ups, but his outright speed is just a quick waddle. 😭🤣
Bohm's play was incredible - this coming from a former third baseman (me 1960's). Maldonado is a great defensive catcher, but can't hit his hat size, and could not win a race against a 70 year old snail. He's not a five tool player, but is an assets to the Astros.
Speaking as a Houston fan, I would've had Realmuto's game-winning HR take the spot for Bohm's throw. As well-executed a play as it was, to your point, Maldy is easy pickings running to first. The fact that Realmuto got that shot off of what was thought to be an un-hittable bullpen all through the postseason was one thing... But then you factor in that he got it off of Luis Garcia who was our extra innings hero back in Game 3 against the Mariners pitching 5 straight scoreless innings.
That Realmuto HR was a big reality check for Houston. Given the sweeps in the ALDS and ALCS before, the home field advantage of MMP, and the all-around consensus that Houston was going to win it all and possibly make it look easy in the process... That was the first loss the Astros were handed during their entire championship run. It was a huge, sudden momentum shift that helped make this more of a competitive series.
@@chuckinhouston9952 Love your comment about the 70 year old snail. 😄

Phillies choked as usual if you don't win it all wasted season have a good day
That's a pretty ridiculous statement. Winning a pennant is huge. That's why they get a trophy and a ring for the NL Championship.
Plus you can't choke if you're the underdog.
But thank you for the end line. I am having a great day, since the Astros won!
VINDICATED! 🤘🏾💪🏾❤️🔥🏆
Astros are the best team in the league
Wow to go from losing 7 to 0 and then Stros come back with a NO Hitter the next game the Astros by far were SUPPOSED TO WIN THIS YEAR PERIOD
And I thought Houston would regress a bit. Shows what I know.
Tuve ♡*( ᵕ̤ᴗᵕ̤ )*♡PeÑa
I’m at school but I have to watch it
As a penalty, run 50 laps around the algebra book!
Ty Phillies, taking out wheeler after one hit and bunting with Schwarber. Houston didn’t want a game 7 either. God bless y’all
Good video
I don't know if the effect will be as long term as it has been with the Yankees, but the Astros broke the Phillies after the no-hitter. Alvarez stepped on the still healing wound. Nothing showed that more than Schwarber, of all people, trying a two out, two strike bunt in the eighth in Game 6.
When I saw it happen I had no idea why Schwarber would be attempting a two-strike bunt (on a pitch that was so high and out of the strike zone to boot) ... I still don't have a clue as to why. But the way he immediately left the batter's box and headed straight to the dugout left me me with the impression that he knew the hopeless futility of the situation and had just given up.
if your favorite was the No-Hitter

Yea but Yordon’s home run was a FREAKING BOMB!!!!! No one has ever hit one up there in Minute Maid park.
