Both versions of the song are incredible. Papa Roaches version seems to portrait the adolescent anger while Ronnie's rendition seems to portrait the depression but Ronnie's rendition highlights the depth of the lyrics giving it so much more impact and emotion 😢
honestly i really didn't think of the lyrics i'm 51 years old was there when it came out thought is was a fun song in a way. With this new generation Ronny hit home at my age i now see what it was supposed to mean. I love Ronny

I love the way the strings were presented! The end did confuse me. The buildings being put back together but he was still screaming & I couldn’t understand his words. It was a song that does need to be heard! 💜💜💜
