Thanks for the video. To be honest I was kind of on the fence about the whole idea at the start, It looks better than i thought it would. I'm going to say 2 things the fitting on the steering unit will probably stay tight with your bushing fasteners and key, if it does come loose the screws will keep it from spinning free right away. I'm a little worried about the steering wheel to the other boss though. Even with that bolt and washer tight from what i see you've got nothing to stop the wheel spinning free if that happens to come loose there. I'm wondering if you get the right wheel whether you'd be better making a dummy shaft to properly fit the steering wheel like would of been on the machine if its tapered or find an old shaft if it's splined depending on the wheel you end up with Then weld it to a steel plate where it bolts on the other half of the adapter. Then it's fail safe to, over the years I've owned several of those jcb's and other tractors where the steering wheels been loose when i bought them and all that stops it turning on the shaft is the key or splines. you get a good bucket of dirt on the front that old girl if you use it, that wheel might need more force turning it than it does now L.O.L. Take care.
The wheel spinning has a JCB lock nut the one that came off it and it will not come loose as I done this many of time so this is not the first one I've done and works very well
