Sag Harbor Beach Communities of Azurest, Sag Harbor Hills, and Ninevah- Life on the Bay

On the east end of Long Island sits a quiet treasure of a beach with white, soft sand over looking Shelter Island and the wharf in downtown Sag Harbor. From the bayfront to route 114 three African American communities emerged from the 1940's. Since then, it continues to be a summer haven and year round paradise for a now diverse group of people---professionals, arists, publshers, writers, teachers, lawyers doctors and entrepeneurs. I have a question are these neighborhoods still popular with African Americans today? I heard stores of people having to sell their homes and the neighborhoods no longer being a haven for middle class blacks
