100% agree it starts with good music and liking a track is essential to get added anywhere, but there are thousands of "good" songs uploaded to Spotify daily, and curators (including Spotify itself) get thousands of submissions every week. You simply need a way to stand out, just like in any part of business and life in general if you want to succeed. Everyone competes for the very limited amount of slots on the few playlists that actually matter and bring results. So what are you going to do, sit around and hope someone will respond to your unsolicited DM or email, or are you going to try and show interest, bring value and build a relationship with a curator, artist or label, and make sure they check out your track? Then if they like your track, they sure will add it and you've made some friends and solid connections in the process. Good luck! ❤
I think is called building trust, trust that your work is original, trust that you can deliver good quality music, trust that you have a good work ethic and respect etc.. and in any working relationship there is the element of give and take. Standard.
