Having learnt bit of Theatre/Drama/Scripting. This is why I respect Something Haute it is that they don't call for interviews and talk about personal relationships or play stupid "rapid fire" games for controversy. They have intelligent CONVERSATIONS about artist about thier art✨ Kudos💯👏

If you go to the RUclips video of any episode of the drama (DNUTN), you'll see that all the comments under the video are related to the drama, shows that only mature audience is watching n then those who are watching, each n everyone is engaged. So that is another measure of success of the drama.

In the review of the recent episode of Dunk, Aamna was taken aback by the 'possibility' of Professor Humayun's daughter being bullied & called out on the road, as if it was something farfetched & couldn't happen to this extent. This interview however, has made it evident that Omair's own son was bullied in a playground & he himself had to face threats & words of disgust & malevolence - all because of a false accusation. What destruction this causes is only 'known' to those who get to experience it. More power to Omair Rana, I'm so glad that he navigated through this bullshitry with so much grace & continues to honour our screens with his excellent performances that are so nuanced & ofcourse, his eloquence & presence with what he's expressing - which makes me want to try myself into acting as well, hahahah. 💫 People as substantial, learned, skilled & intellectual as Omair Rana are an absolute pride for our country.

He directed my younger sister in her school play. She played the antagonist and was the lead. It was all-girls school and my sister used to tell us how these young teen girls crush over him and he always treats them like kids and call them beta... whereas another leading host (these days) also once directed them and would flirt with these young girls. She saw two talented men treating the same lot of girls very differently... so when allegations were leveled against him I couldn’t believe it. many of my friends have been his student and they have only great things to say about this man. Dignified and kind are top two.

Omair Rana was completely in control of this conversation and he intellectually nailed each and every opinion he carried and his thought process in the course of this conversation. Thoroughly enjoyed listening to him. Like he said, we need to think long term and produce content which is uplifting and changes the mindset of common viewership. When Haseena Moin was writing scripts of young independent women, people would wait to watch her episodes and loved it! Those stories were based on 15 to 18 episodes max serials. Now we have so many choices out there but very selective few dramas that are with a substantial script and content. Most of the dramas are just over rated, hype created rubbish with all the bells and whistles.Channels are selling these plays like sweet candies wrapped in shiny wrappers and not as refined pieces of literature or art.

No Dil Na Umeed To Nahi should NOT have been made in a lighter way. Some things deserve the seriousness. It would be awful to include cheap comic relief when the drama portrays such a dark world. Like Omair Rana said, this shouldn't be diluted, people should learn to digest these things.
And this drama IS entertaining. It has some very witty dialogues, there's dark humour too at times.

Simply loved the teasers of, Chupke chupke. 😂Expecting superior quality humour and witty dialogues. Ayeza Khan is looking good doing comedy after her role in MPTH. Osman Khalid Butt, Arsalan ( u tuber), Mera Sethi are all maestros of comic dialogue delivery and timings. Eagerly looking forward to it in Ramadan.

@26..6 Amna art / classics and literature are never for the masses. We In India had done this entire exercise for hooking the young into Hindustani classical music. Spicmacay was like a movement roping in zakir Hussain, Shiv kumar Sharma to name a few. It did not catch up.A young adoloscent, disheartened i had asked my father why did he think I failed. His reply was - The classical forms require a certain degree of maturity, learning and work put in. Very few amongst us have the opportunity and privilege to have walked that path.

This is a really interesting interview. Huge thanks to Omair Ji for sharing his experiences and perspective, he's a wonderful actor. I think what Omair Ji says with regard to a writer's guild is really essential. Writers must be able to copyright their work as well as gain royalties from it. Their work must be viewed as their property with the right to take legal action should it be copied by another. This is about valuing and defending the authenticity of the written art form. I also think that unions have a massive role to play in the arts and re-establishing these for actors, writers, directors would also be really beneficial to the arts community in Pakistan. These have been eroded away in the UK as well but are able to secure at least a minimum standard of rights across the arts. Pakistani artists are some of the most hard-working in the world I think because they constantly deal with hostility. Allah app sub ko kaamyaabi or sookoon dey. DNUTN is excellent with honest performances for all the characters. Many congratulations to the whole team. I will say this, be not too downhearted about the content of Pakistani TV. You really should see how poor UK TV is right now. It's all game shows and reality TV. No actors, no writers, just members of the public exploited to make money for our TV channels.
