- Portland Maine. The Good The Bad & The Ugly.
There are a lot of things on the must see and do list in and around Portland Maine. We had fun visiting Portland Maine and feasting on fresh seafood like clam and fresh Maine lobsters.
We also visited the Portland Head Light House in Fort Williams Park. Located in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, Portland Head Lighthouse is the oldest lighthouse in Maine, completed in 1791
So proud you came to my home state. If you come back, there is a whole other Maine to discover.
Yeah. A whole other Maine with small towns. Almost all of which are filled with drugs.
Nice to see you visited our great state. So glad you enjoyed most of it👍
Wow! Crazy looks like NYC with the crackheads!
It’s awesome you came to Maine! Your spot on Biddeford is a meth infested city, challenged economically yet trying there hardest to reform. Sadly there are several other meth infested communities (Lewiston is next) right on up to the tip of Maine 650 miles away, we have a serious drug issue here. Low wages, high rent, awful winters yet people are happy. There are so many fantastic places to explore, Jay’s is one of a kind!
Take the ferry to the Island for a wood fired pizza very cool village there!
We vacation there every year. We have found our favorite places to be Camden Maine, Kennebunkport Maine and Bar Harbor Maine. If you go to Bar Harbor Maine, try the double decker Catamaran Whale Watch Boat tour, Bar Harbor Acadia. We usually go there between 3rd of Sept. to 1st week of Oct. We sometimes would take The CAT Ferry from Bar Harbor to Nova Scotia Canada and spend a few days there! You could spend a Month in Nova Scotia and barely see all the different cultured areas! Also try a 2 to 3 days on their Wooden Tall Ship cruises. Maine has some of the BEST Bed & Breakfast places!
They didn't look like meth users, they looked like fentanyl/heroin users. Opiate addiction is pretty common in New England.
Society seems to be crumbling just about everywhere.
Hey Exoman! Yes. Portland does have homelessness, mental health and addiction issues among our citizens. Juat like every state in the union. This is not a gated community.
Portland is not a state, I don't live in a gated community, I wasn't trying to hurt your feelings and I come from one of the most dangerous cities in the union. You will find people who report on only lovely things like flowers and rainbows and nature in their travel vlogs, I am more of a gritty realist. I see the good the bad and the ugly and I share it, does that sound fair?
I been watching you guys forever wish I new you were comming I grew up in southportland now live in windham on little sebago glad you visited it the old port used to have all bars now there stores
Looks like nice place to visit, it ain't like home. Jen makes it really nice.
I don't think thats Meth , I think it's Fentanyl . I wouldn't know myself . Just what you see on TV . Either way bad news .
I was thinking Maine afew week s ago 🎉
Wild to see you two wandering around my hometown. Wish i had ran into you!
Great show 😊
I grew up in Maine. I lived in the Bangor area.
Love New England! Went to Rhode Island alot as a teenager! Lived in South Florida for awhile too! Now have a small hobby farm in SW Missouri ❤
🦞🥃🇺🇸🙏🏻 good times
The guitar needs tuning 😂
Wow I was just there last August!
The best Lobsters are between 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 pounds anything larger starts to get tough! The large Lobster meat is usually used in casserole dishes.
God bless Tony. 🛐
That lighthouse is in Cape Elizabeth, not Portland.
You video is a hell -of alot better than Joe & Nickies road trips. At least you talk to locals on camera. He only talks to cats.
Which do you guys like better Portland or Bar Harbour??
We like Bar Harbor more but tat may just be because we didn't spend enough time to see all that the Portland area had to offer.
Jen marry Brandin Stephens ❤❤❤❤
Life is depressing when you're poor
I found life to be pretty fabulous when I was poor. I focused more on the things money can't buy. I wished I wasn't poor but I had great joy and appreciated what I had. I worked hard to get out of poverty because I was convinced that life is easier when you are not broke.
@@exoman im 62 and burnt out. Lost everything I had now my body is falling apart.dont know what to do and I'm stuck in California it's the worst
Start seeing the good where you can. Think constantly of what you are grateful for don't ask for more. More only comes when we are in a state of acceptance and believe in abundance. Read about the principles of positive thought and abundance. The universe is your power and it listens to and reverberates your every whisper. If you say I am poor, I am hungry, the universe brings you poverty and hunger in abundance. Say instead, "I am in the flow, I have all that I can ever want or need" "I am rich, I am a good person, I have, i have" etc. It is a mindset of believing yourself to where you wish to be. Believe like you already have what you want. You have believed yourself to where you are now and in the same way, you can believe yourself to a more rich and enjoyable life.
@@exoman thanks for that. Sadly I am trapped in California living with an awful mean old man who is very cruel. I came from Georgia and miss the south terribly. I used to have a good life
@exoman WOW! That was a incredibly deep! I'm a child of the 60s and that is so true. You are what you think! My favorite book was: As a Man Thinkith!
Vacationland? Not affordable for most people. Also, lots of homeless, druggies, pan handlers, expensive housing, high crime, illegal immigrants, and bad attitudes.
The guys a bore
