I have an observation about smallcase that the weight/percentage of stocks calculated on current value of investment and not on invested value. That means when we buy more or rebalance happens under performing shares are bought more and more and high performing stocks are left. It keeps doing downward averaging. Please share your thought on that?
Sir travelled after three years from Bangalore to my village in Harayana bordering Rajasthan. I observed, there are two types of India. The one which resides in big cities, earning good salaries having all the luxuries, speding without a second thought. That India can't even imagine the kind of problems the other India has to go through on daily basis. The affluent India can't even have a slight idea how difficult the life could be. The life in villages is still difficult, though it has improved a lot but there is still lot of scope. Infrastructure has definetly improved, government is spending a lot of money. All the streets in my village have been cemented, even the road which goes to our fields has been tiled. But a lot need to done.

Sir, your analysis of impact of incremental provisioning of 5% is flawed. I know the banking compliances. Firstly, provisioning has no tax benefits and will not reduce tax liability as bad debts alone are allowed as expense and not provisioning. Secondly, the one time hit of 5% will remain forever even if the borrower repays full amount as the next borrower getting the same money will also attract 5% provisioning on standard assets. Thirdly, regulator increasing provisioning indicates that risks in infra lending is high and banks leverage will be affeccted as 5% amount X leverage (7-10 times) gets blocked and is not getting into the system

Sir, your analysis of impact of incremental provisioning of 5% is flawed. I know the banking compliances.
Firstly, provisioning has no tax benefits and will not reduce tax liability as bad debts alone are allowed as expense and not provisioning. Secondly, the one time hit of 5% will remain forever even if the borrower repays full amount as the next borrower getting the same money will also attract 5% provisioning on standard assets.
Thirdly, regulator increasing provisioning indicates that risks in infra lending is high and banks leverage will be affeccted as 5% amount X leverage (7-10 times) gets blocked and is not getting into the system

I am regular viewer of your videos and subscribed to BM vision. I have an observation about smallcase that the weight/percentage of stocks calculated on current value of investment and not on invested value. That means when we buy more or rebalance happens under performing shares are bought more and more and high performing stocks are left. It keeps doing downward averaging. Please share your thought on that?
